Well, its been a long time since I've been on the boards. I've just been so busy, but for an update: I've joined the 501st as Darth Vader and I am getting married. We both decided we wanted a star wars wedding. I'm going to dress up in my vader and hopefully i can get about 10 stormtroopers and a Boba Fett, possibly even an Emperor. The kid of one of my friends down here is going to be yoda holding the rings. We set the date on Feb. 09, 2008. That way its still a little cool outside for costumes. The funny part of the whole thing will be that our family wont know its going to be a star wars wedding, we are just going to tell them make sure they bring there video cameras. Hopefully everything, including the planning goes smoothly.

Congradulations!! Sounds like a lot of fun. My friend Andy just got married on June 9th with a Star Wars wedding it was wonderful! They made the 6pm and 11pm news in Roanoke and on a CNN news loop most of sunday.

Dude, that's awesome! Congrats on the approaching nuptials, and I hope the surprise for your families is well-played.
I wish my wife was as much into this as I am, but she is very supportive of my habit, even if she's not the costumer of the family. Perhaps we'll eventually get her to turn, as my kids are REALLY interested in making their own costumes, too.

My future wife want to use the Padme lake dress from episode II, does anyone know where to possibly find one for sale. We've already checked ebay and dont really know where else to look

Congrats My friends Rose and Jon both members of the 501st Midsouth Garison had a Star Wars Wedding at adventurecon. It was great and there were other weddings going on at that time and many of the best men and even one of the wedding couples wanted some Jedis to pose with them. I hear d a story from the Force cast where he actually donned the Boba Fett costume and crashed the wedding.

This totally took me by suprise! I am very happy to hear about this! I've been so out of touch with you since Dragoncon that this had caught me off guard!  Grats! I would love to see this! I'll try and help you find the lake dress too. I may know a few people who could make one but I will have to see. Also do you plan on going to Dragoncon this year? I am. |
