Nothing for sure yet, but there's a good chance I'll be moving up to the Bay Area to be a live-in nanny! It's a great job because I love kids, and I've been babysitting for this family for over a year. The best part is my doggy can come.  |

Thanks all. More good news- my sister has been fighting a custody battle for her son for the past two and a half years, and she finally won. She gets him back for good! (the kid's dad's a jerk and in jail) |

That is encouraging news! My good news: In mid December my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They are still both in good health and living in the house in which I grew up, which is a blessing. |

My good news/why I've been gone so long: after over 2 years of searching, I found a house AND found angel backers to help me finance it. As most of you know, I run a violin shop from my house, and it had completely crowded me out of my old townhouse. I now have enough room that the business can be separate from the personal life. Hooray! No more basses in the bathroom!
Since this came together fairly quickly late this fall, all I've been doing in the interim is packing, cleaning, prepping, moving, unpacking, getting the old house ready to sell, and transferring all my business and personal stuff from one location to another without totally going crazy (the jury is still out on that one...)
Suffice it to say, my discressionary time has been limited. At least I am pretty sure I know where my tunic, robe, and saber are!
So that's what's up with me, and I hope to be back here more frequently from now on.
