Found out while I was working in L.A. that my daughter Kathy and her husband are having another baby. This will make grandchild #4. Wohoo|

I have some good news too. Yesterday I was told at work that I'm getting a raise! Which is weird, as they have cut everybody's hours alot, but I won't complain either. I wonder how much it will be?

Sad news, but I should post it because shortly after I posted about my daughter being pregnant, she lost the baby. She's feeling better now.

Good news for us is that my wife got a raise and bonus recently; however I'm still looking for work, been out 18+ months.

My sister has been out of work that long, too. And she's 56; she knows that's working against her. The unemployment rate is high where she is.

I finally got that new computer. I've only been talking about it for 2 years. But I procrastinated long enough to avoid Windows Vista completely. Windows 7 is OK, but I'm still getting used to it. And I don't have the right connector for my speakers; but that's easily fixed.

I am on the hunt for a new computer too, one with more memory and a much bigger harddrive, but other than that almost the same model I have now.

I have a HP laptop.

I have windows 7 & it is much better then Vista for sure. I sadly had one with Vista which after 3 months I put XP on it since I couldn't stand Vista. I gave that one to a friend who need a laptop. The windows 7 has it's weaknesses but so far mine is doing ok.
