Good for both of you Cronto & Cara.
I have just realized by looking at the calendar that it was 5 yrs ago at this time that I went to C3, met TJA & came home, joined TJA & started my Jedi life with costuming, etc ;D. I know when I went to C3 I had no idea where this was going to lead me. I admit I wish I could do more at times, hopefully as time moves forward I will be able to.
Thank you TJA for 5 wonderful years. ;D

Aaaaaaah, CIII. That was fun, though some of the crowding and line issues were very bad. I doubt that CV will be as big or chaotic.
I was victorious in court this week. A couple of months ago I got a careless driving ticket, based on the fact that the damage to the other person's car was in the rear and the person behind is responsible. But she was in the left hand turn only lane and decided to go straight and I was in the any-direction lane.
I certainly wasn't going to pay $160 ticket when the other driver cut me off and broke the rear-view mirror on my bicycle. No damage to me; it was cold that day so I was wearing a heavy coat, gloves, a helmet and day-glo orange safety vest. Rolling on the pavement is not exactly a skill I ever planned to develop, but it worked.
No court drama; it was just dismissed because the highway patrolman was not a witness -- he based his decision on what he saw when he arrived -- and he did not oppose my contesting the ticket.

A few peices of good news Good news #1.. I finally landed a job in this ruff economy. A gig at the local Denny's as a hostess, dishwasher and server. Cross training. Doesn't pay a lot, but it'll put food on the table.
Good news #2.. had a car accident last month but walked away. The insurances of the two drivers should help me get medical help.

Heal well, Mynn. Grats on the job. Sorry to hear about the car accident, but it's good that the "other guy" has insurance that will pay for your medical bills.
I successfully register for my Fall Semester class: Anatomy and Physiology 1. Hopefully, a year from now I will be officially in the AAS RN Program.

Kinda good news-- hubby has concluded that filing for bankrupcy is something that can actually help us. He (and I) have always been against it... trying to pay our debts as promised. We've done it before... paid down our debts in 5 years with an agency back in the 80's. But again, it's come to a point where we just don't have the recources. We need a bailout! If the gov can bail out huge corporations... why can't they bail out l'il 'ol he 'n me? Not much in comparison. Still it feels like a skeevy way out. Anyway... I think it's good news.... maybe.

Last night while comeing from from swing shift, a driver was reklessly weaving through traffic. God kept my co-worker and i safe. Eventhough the 'reckless' driver had a sports car and drove well, accidents can happen.

Thanks! I hope so. He doesn't understand he's getting a little brother yet. Been trying to tell him theres a baby in mommies tummy. Not sure how else to prep him. When we go get the baby crib and such we will have him help, but again, not sure how else to get him involved and understand.
