I got to see Patrick Stewart in 'MacBeth' last weekend in Brooklyn. It's a WONDERFUL production. It has a very surreal production in a grim, 1940's/50's militaristic, totalitarian way. Normally, sudden noises and flashing and projections don't impress me, but this was so beautifully done, it was just stunning. And the whole cast is terrific, not just Patrick. There is a lot of motion in this version of the Scottish play.
The play is sold out in Brooklyn, but there is talk of taking it to Broadway in the next few months, the reviews have been so good. So, if you get a chance to see it, do.
And I got to hang around with Nova for a few hours on Sunday, too. What an intriguing store she works at. And I figured out the subway without going the wrong direction for once.

Thanks. It was a nice trip. All kinds of things went wrong, mostly when I was leaving, but the important parts went very right. And they are taking the play to Broadway for a 2 month run starting at the end of March, in case you want to skip off to NY.

I have it, we decided ahead of time that anything won, which we didn't think we would win anything, would go to me as the costume maker....
It's really an inconsiderate prize to give at a convention, since a lot of people travel to get there.... DUH! Something that would fit into a suitcase or could be held in your lap would have been more appropriate... it may very well be valuable, but that isn't the point... it's the lack of THOUGHT on the part of Lucasfilm that bothers me...
But I'm still proud of us and of my costumes!
