That was awesome, great use of the reacurring themes between the trilogies. Did you speed up the duelling between Obi Wan and Vader? Looks much cooler than I remember it... ;D

Thank you for all the compliments. A year ago, my friend Zac mentioned the idea of Maul igniting his saber at that key moment in the song. I recently outfitted myself with a Mac workstation at home (finally) and decided my first project would be to expand on his idea and bring it to fruition. Definitely a labor of love.
I laughed out loud the first time I pieced together the "amputation segment." What a violent saga. "Well, what did you expect? It's not called Star Happy. It's Star Wars!"
As for the Kenobi-Vader fight from Ep IV, I scanned through it a few times to find the moments with the most flurry. Heh. Not much to choose from. There are approximately two. The music helps, of course. I had to be equally selective with the shots from Empire and Jedi. They're faster than ANH but no where near Nick Gillard speed.
My favorite juxtaposition is between III–Anakin–Dooku and IV–Luke–Vader: • The same long tracking shot. • The same point in their journeys, leading up to where Anakin choses to kill Dooku while Luke lets Vader live. • The sets are virtually the same. The main difference? In Sith, the stairs lead down to the Chancellor. In Jedi, the stairs lead up. I don't know how much thought the set designers put into this, but it's telling that Anakin is descending while Luke is ascending. • What I find most interesting is their direction of travel. While in the frame they're moving right to left, Anakin is moving toward the Chancellor (away from the exit) and Luke is moving away from the Emperor (and toward the exit).

Yeah, that was a great part of the vid that really took my notice, especially as they fought past the circular view window. I didnt realise when I was watching Sith just how alike the two sequences are. Its great that you included as much of the OT as you could, even considering how little swordplay there is in it. The end shot is also the best end shot for a preview/montage in the whole sw saga, im glad u used it Oh by the way, do you have it hosted somewhere so that its downloadable? I dont think youtube lets you do it...

I also posted the video on ClipShack, but neither ClipShack nor YouTube seem to allow downloading. Do you have any suggestions?
I recently purchased the domain chad-michael.com and will be teaching myself the modern wonders of maintaining a site (my last site was a pure HTML dinosaur from eight years ago in college). One wing of the site will be devoted to Star Wars, and I'll host this video there for downloading.

how big is the file? I might be able to host it for a week or so for those who are interested (which would count me)...I can't see it at work and only have dial up at home....

Tenric, the file is 29.4MB. I could export a smaller version, but what fun would that be? How large of a file do you think you could download?

at work I could DL 30MB in under a minute. I'll check about hosting it on my site for awhile..........might even have a Canadian friend who would do it for me also.

I must say although I'm not big on Kid Rock, this is extremely well done! ;D I used to make compilation videos years ago on VHS (Tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tribute to Bruce Lee, etc). I must really try and get them converted to disc and upload them to share.
