I was watching ET on USA yesterday and it was at the scene were Elliot was trying to show ET the different planets. So ET puts the balls on the planets and makes them levitate. Then later on we see him form a symbiotic bond with Elliot which is very similiar to a force bond between master and apprentice, so they often feel each other and suffer there pain as well. So do you think that in a galaxy far, far, Away he was a jedi....?

Considering how close Spielberg and Lucas are. Anything's possible.
I know ET supposedly made it into TPM, though I haven't seen him.

I seen his species in the senate chamber when they are panning around the dais you see his people in one of the little senate hover cars

The ET's can be seen in the scene where the whole senate chamber is yelling for a vote of "no confidence"
for Chancellor Vallorum. The ET's are in the lower right hand corner of the scene for a brief moment.

A jedi? Nope, but a citizen of the Republic, yes. Infact did you see his reaction when he saw the kid dressed as Yoda? He said."Home!". As if he KNEW the particular being. Maybe not ET's home wrld but he'd know of the senete on Coruscant. maybe he was an aid to one of the ET senetors in the box. He would probably know of the jeid easily enough too. ET's kind are long living as are Yoda's.

Well that explains why his kind were so obsessed with earths different Fungi and plants since there planet is made up of it.
