Now that's almost creepy! but at the same time, very, very cool! If there's any Jeid in ireland, they wouldn't look out of place wearing their costume there...what a photo-op!

I'd read that. And I'd also read that Trinity College was suing LFL for use of the image without permission.

That was really cool. If I go to Europe next summer I will be sure to visit that library.

Apparently they gave up the idea of suing www.wired.com/news/digiwood/0,1412,56346,00.html apparently if the url wraps, it won't be a real clickable link. so copy paste

Aaah, sounds like they came to an cordial agreement. If Lucasfilm used a variety of world libraries as sources for the Jedi Archives, it might have ended up looking like the Trinity library because the Trinity Library looks like a lot of other libraries in the world.

Wow... well judging by the two pictures in the first article, there's no question as to where the influence came from.... it would be interesting to see some of LFL's other sources of architectural inspiration.

Lucasfilm spokeswoman Jeanne Cole said that the stately architecture and vaulted ceilings of the Jedi Archives room was inspired by "a variety of real-world libraries including the Vatican, and those found in old English estates."
Next time Lucal ask someone selling SW props and costumes to 'cease and desist' the seller can just tell him that they based their product on "a variety of real-world costumes including those from Japan, and those found in old English medieval castles and 2nd World War uniforms." ;D
