Well I've got my Wolverine costume nearly done! Here's a few pics.  "I never used my claws on someone who hadn't tried to kill me first." "You're good, bunkies. I'm better. Especially when I'm mad!" "You boys have guts ... too bad they're all over the floor!"(I just had to throw in these quotes  ). I've got the theatrical hair for the beard- I'll have the full effect going for Halloween! ;D Obi's Angels... I love it!  |

Wolverine...nice blades !!! You can pull that off really well....even the hair  How are you going to attach the blades...I'd think that would be tricky...what are they made of? |

Many thanks for the compliments everyone! ;D Siri- Thank you for asking!  I made the blades from foamcore board (a sheet of styrofoam sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard). I cut them using a template I found on the internet:  And then spray painted them aluminum:  The blades fit over my knuckles, between my fingers:  The little rounded "grips" allow me hold onto the blades:  When I close my fist- the effect is seamless!  Cool eh? I considered purchasing aluminum blades (that are available on ebay)- however the problems of convention security changed my mind. They do not allow metal weapons of any kind sharpened or not. The pattern I used also shows how to make a bar that the grips attach to- I chose not to make this part, as the blades would look too straight and unnatural. This was really a test run to see if they would look ok. I'll make a sturdier set out of wood sometime down the road. All that's left is the beard, (and to let my hair grow out a bit) and I'm good to G.O. ! ;D |

Koda...great job on the graphic. Now the Angels need to get planning on costumes! I could make the cards for you!
