Well I've got my civilian Logan from X1 nearly finished... Left to do: -Dye my hair to match the sideburns -There are some leather panels that go on the front of the jacket that I have to add- I'm trying to decide if they should be the same colour as the arm bands (which is how it looks to me on film), or a lighter colour (which is what I've seen in reproduction versions). -Still don't know what kind of boots he was wearing so I just have a pair of brown motorcycle boots for now. I also didn't bother with the jean jacket as I felt it would be a bit too much. Still waiting for a set of resin claws I ordered to arrive- I've got my foamcore board set here. Now a couple of pics for the warmer D-Con weather... All in all I'm very happy with how it's turned out! ;D

p.s. that, and an unlit cigar ...lol Thanks Bro! ;D I've been looking around for a fake cigar that is large enough and at the same time doesn't look like a big fake cigar. LOL! Whoa!!
Awesome!

Heh- thanks! ;D Unfortunately I work in the food industry- they don't really allow me to grow a beard without wearing a "beard-net". It looks ridiculous and itches like mad. It's really why I went with the fake sideburns.

I work at a supermarket in the "hot foods" section. So I make barbecue chicken, wings, fries, ribs, etc. Not exactly my first choice in careers- I started in the Organic/health food section 6 years ago. Back in Oct of 2003, the store owner told me they could no longer afford to pay a full time employee to be in that section as it wasn't making enough money. So I was given a choice of accepting a nightshift job (from 10pm to 6:30am stocking shelves)... Or get laid off and lose my job. Needless to say it was no choice at all. I worked the nightshift for 15 months until the union got involved to get the store to give me a day job. I was pretty much willing to do anything to get off nights. So when they offered the hot foods position to me in Jan 2005- I jumped on it. Eh... it's a job. I'm sure I'll switch departments in the store at least a couple of more times before I work for another company (I'll never do the nighshift again though).

That is an excellent Wolverine! You've got the look down wonderfully. How do the claws works out? Can you do anything else, when you're wearing them? What are they made from?

Many thanks again for the compliments everyone! ;D Leda- I was thinking the same thing! There is a small wooded area just behind my house that will be perfect! Ani- thank you for the kind words! I made the blades from foamcore board (a sheet of styrofoam sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard). I cut them using a template I found on the internet: And then spray painted them aluminum: The blades fit over my knuckles, between my fingers: The little rounded "grips" allow me hold onto the blades: When I close my fist- the effect is seamless! I really can't do too much while I'm holding the claws- and since they are just made of styrofoam covered with cardboard, they will probably get destroyed eventually. I ordered a set of movie accurate resin claws near the end of September- but they are probably not going to arrive in time for Halloween (the seller PMed me today to say he hadn't sent them yet). Oh well. I still have the temporary set for now.
