Just kiddin about being a seal....but I had to make it sound good that I'm qualified to carry Fauxi-wan ;D
That would be so cool Thantos if you were Charlie for the Mr. SW!!!!!
Could someone mix some SW music and dub it over a Charlies Angels style opening credits that we'd change to be about Thantos? How did the opening go...I can't remember! Wasn't it some thing about each girl, then at the end it goes "and now they work for me...I'm charlie and these are my angels?" We could change it to how Thantos founded TJA and now these are his Angels protecting the Galaxy from the trade federation and the sith...just ideas! It wouldn't have to be that long...what is the enterence like 30 seconds?
Then the Angels would just join the audience to cheer you on...and if we're clever we'd go "yes Charlie" and "thanks Charlie" at certain points during the show!!!
When the announcer does his monologue about you we'd have to have some clever things about you saving the galaxy and finding Angels to help you...Leda...your so creative..could you make some kinda monologue for the announcer to read?
Need to find the opening for charlies Angels to get ideas.
This would be so cool!!! Your a great sport Thantos ;D
Who else is in for helping with this? We have two angels...Leda & I...we still need at least one more....Xana? Any other vlounteers?

Hmm... funny, I never saw Charlie's Angels. Can you believe it?
Really, I never have. I know what it is though. I've seen the poster. And I had Farrah Fawcet hair in middle school. And I know that no one ever sees Charlie.... right?

I found Charlie's Angels monologues:
Opening monologue: "Once upon a time, there were three little girls who went to the police academy. And they were each assigned very hazardous duties. (Cut to shots of Sabrina writing parking tickets, Jill typing, and Kelly as a crossing guard.) But I took them away from all that, and now they work for me. My name is Charlie."
And another from a later season:
Charlie's opening monologue has now undergone a complete overhaul. It begins, "Once upon a time, there were three beautiful girls. Two of them graduated from the police academy. The other graduated from a top school for models. And they each reaped the rewards of their exciting careers..." For her "reward," Julie is shown jogging on a treadmill while promoting a drink called Joggerade.

OK, how about this: /Jedi Master enters and takes a flourishing stance, foot up on a chair and begins lip-synching to the monologue./
Opening monologue: (to Charlie's Angel's music)
"Once upon a time, there were three little initiates who went to the Jedi Temple."
/Three robed padawans shuffle onto stage behind jedi master. They are completely covered, hoods up./
"And they were each very good and proper Jedi padawans."
/Three padawans bow to each other, and the Jedi, arms folded before them, still completely covered./
"But I took them away from all that."
/Three padawans throw their robes back, or completely off. Lightsabers come out. Possible outfits:
-- pants, halter-top, tabards, obi, belt, boots/
-- short tunic worn like a mini-skirt, with no pants, tabards, obi, belt, boots/
-- long, floor-length tunic, but slit up the side, a low neck-line and no undertunic, obi, sash over neck, low boots.
(If you can get an Ayala Secura (or another Twi'lek in similar outfit) that would work, too.)
"And now they work for me. My name is Char-Li."
(music morphs into SW)

"Master Char-Li"Since you have to do your own music, definitely lay down the narration track, too! Open mikes canNOT be trusted and you want something to do a few practice runs to. You could use the movie sound track, but that has a VERY heavy beat and might be hard to put the narration over. The Charlie's Angels theme from the TV Show is on the TV Land Favorite TV Theme Songs CD. I've never tried it, but people on the Costumer's Guild list, who have done sound tracks for masquerades, have recommended Gold Wave software for mixing music and narration. I think it has a freeware version, or it is at least not expensive. That is awesome!!!!!You did a great job Ani!!!! We perhaps sould start a new thread dedicated to working on this project? This is going to be too much fun!!! We need to work on costume and finding at least one last angel..... WE'll have to dub the words over the sound track too. Then we need to come up with a clever monologue for Tanthos for after the intro music. Something about how he founded a banded a bunch of loose jedi together to form TJA (like how Charlie brought the Angels together). Then we have to say something about how his Angels are saving the galaxy from the sith and other evil... and make up some story about how he did some huge feat...like single handly ripped the teeth out of a rancor or something  !!! This is going to be the highlight of DC next year!!! |

I finished my kill bill pants today. They came out ok, considering I've never made pants before. I just patterned them from a pair of sweatpants I have that had the shape I was going for. The only thing is that the fabric is a bit lighter in color than my jacket, and it's supposed to be the same. But they'll do until I get to NYC to get the proper fabric. I'll be "testing" them at ConCept this weekend.  |
