hmmm.....generic "Firefly"....sounds interesting Kai! I have also wanted to become a Browncoat....I was wanting to do Zoe...\
There was a booth at Dragon Con that had Zoe's leather vest for sale.....I was REALLY tempted! It was about $250.00 though...and since I didn't have much else started...I didn't want to invest that kind of $.....I did buy two resin kits for Firefly guns/blasters....I bought Jane's gun ....and River's pistol from the bar shoot-out in "Serenity"....
Right now I am hip deep in my Rebel Fleet Trooper project...
I have the BDU shirt/vest de-constructed, I have the grey pants and the DH-17 blaster....ordered are the helmet and shirts (you need two...one has to be cut up to make the bib)...
Next I need the boots and the belt/holster....
but currently...there is a great deal of discussion on the holster...and what what would be canon....in all of the screen shots that I have seen....the holster is hidden, grainy, and hard to make out....I don't remember the Rebel Fleet Trooper costume as being a part of the "Magic of the Myth" exhibit....nor is it part of the new "Where Science Meets Imagination" exhibit....
I wonder if there are any left out there from the original movie....

after my revan im considering a couple of things, im going to take my vampire costume from this holloween im getting and am going to use that at Dcon. lets see what else.....what sucks is all my fav characters are female, which i am decidedly lacking in a chromosome to do....shucks

after my revan im considering a couple of things, im going to take my vampire costume from this holloween im getting and am going to use that at Dcon. lets see what else.....what stinks is all my fav characters are female, which i am decidedly lacking in a chromosome to do....shucks Yeah, I have the opposite problem. Can't be Obi-Wan... oh well.  lol I think I'll work on the kill bill suit. I'll need the pants, the shoes and the sword. The sword is easy... I saw a bunch at Dragon Con. The pants I can make. Now the shoes will be the hardest piece to find. |

The Tai Chi shoes don't have the extra padding in the front. i need to get some better screen shots. I do know that I'm not going to find these with the same soles! They were either custom made, or the four letter word inscribed on them was digitally added. |

Nice McGonagall costume, Kai! I like to do her, that way I can wear my glasses since i do wear them. LOL! We'll see. Definitely starting on Bill's pirate costume--need that done by January for a con here in Virginia--Marscon. A bunch of us will be there, as pirates for our ship, DMB DragonStorm ( dmvdragonstorm.bravehost.com/ ), which is part of the Buccaneers of the Atlantic Coast. And i have to get my Stargate costume since members of Stagate Special Forces. But I hope to make a HP costume and some original one out of my own idea. believe it or not, many costumers used to do that for years back in 70s and 80s. LOL Leda, make them. One year I couldn't find the right color pants for my son's costume for the Joker one year so I made them as found the color in material. You're a costumer!!!! >>>And I just ordered the sword. hey leda, you could find a pair of pants the right shape and use them for a pattern for your kill bill pants
