Who's going to be doing a new costume or costumes for DC next year. I plan on having the one I wore this year, plus a Kit Fisto, a Darth Vader, and my own personal sith lord. It'll be more interesting I think to have more than one outfit.

Yup...after D*C I'm definately thinking of costumes for next year. I've been working on a sith. I'm thinking of a Slave Leia and a Padme gown (I can wear them to C4 then too) also.

Instead of a regular slave leia, you can mix it up a bit and use that american flag outfit that you wore at DC and combine it with the leia outfit, lol

I've already got next year's alternate costume 90% done (it's not Star Wars related though). Here's a teaser: Any X-Men fans here? Just working on the claws now. Since steel claws would not be allowed at D-Con (and I don't want any trouble crossing the border)- I'm making my own out of plastic. Funny story behind this: At D-Con on Friday night I was hanging out in the Hyatt with my fellow marine Chris, and just wearing a tank top and shorts. A woman who knows my friend comes up and asks- "Does your buddy there do a Wolverine costume?". Chris said he didn't think so- so she goes on with, "Why not!? He looks just like him; he's built, he's short..." Chris cuts her off and says, "Yeah and he's Canadian!" " OMG!!! HE HAS TO DO WOLVERINE!!!" (For in the first X-Men movie- Wolverine was from Canada, and formerly in the Canadian army) LOL! She talked to me for a bit and got me totally excited to do Wolverine next year! I'm going to debut it at a local Halloween party. ;D It will be the simple movie version: white tank top, jeans, cowboy boots and claws (and for the cooler Canadian weather- brown leather jacket). The "beard" is going to be theatrical facial hair normally used for a wolfman costume. Should look a little more realistic compared to a typical fake beard.

If I get to go next year I'll of course take the Jedi duds, but my two alternates will be from V for Vendetta. Ldi-Ovef Te_Azi isn't the only one who loves that move. The first one will be a fairly simple one, I'm throwing together a quick Fingerman outfit, complete with badge. This costume will be easy, simply because Fingermen are plain clothed enforcers, they just wear a lot of black. The second one is much cooler. I'm putting together a Norsefire Honor Guard costume. Luckily they wear engineer boots, and my Jedi boots just happen to be engineer boots! This will be a bit more arduous, but very do-able.
