I won't retire mine garb either. I'll wear them til jesus comes. Although that'd be awefully strange garb to walking about heaven in. Or maybe not, I jsut might fit in.:-D "cept for the lightsabre. :-D B-) I remember watching a film a year or so ago (I forget the title) that was set during Jesus' last few days. At one point, there was a room with a load of guys in robes (brown over white) and it was like a kind of ancient Jedi Council ;D Personally, I'll always be costuming. On an official census a few years back, I put my religion as Jedi, so that's that really ;D

I'm using my Jedi boots as motocycle boots, so they're not going to waste. I'm also using my existing Jedi costume with new costume pieces to transform it into something else, may not SW related.
I have used my robe for LOTR costuming before, and I'm sure it can be used for any variety of wizard/fantasy characters with some temporary modification and add-ons.
I'm also in the process of acquiring some other SW costumes (non-Jedi) and also looking into turning my costuming hobby (together with my lightsaber making hobby) into some sort of business, so I forsee myself being involved in costuming for a long long time to come ;D

I don't think the comotion over Star Wars itself can ever really die down. The general public might not talk about it as much or often, but it will still be there. As long as people are showing the original trilogy and now the pequel trilogy to children and they are mesmorized by at least the thought of it, then there will be SW fans, and most likely costumers. I know because I wasintroduced to the SW universe as a young kid when the trilogy came out in THX before Ep I was even being talked about. I was fascinated by the thought of all of it, and I wanted to be Luke fighting Vader and then eventually fighting the Emperor to help his father leave the darkness that surrounded him. These movies will always capture the immaginations of someone and as long as they can watch those movies and then decide they want to know what it's like to wear the clothing, battle with a lightsaber, or walk around in the great billowing robes there will be costumers. Not to mention I read somewhere he wants to do either the first trilogy, or all six in IMAX theaters with 3D effects. Thus creating an all new experiance and capturing more fans.

Well i've been a fan for over 10 years now, I will nevber stop costuming.. I eat, breath and sleep star wars. it gives something to lok foward to. For that child that isnt popular in school, being made fun of. I was that child once but in a worse situation. I am going to be getting a pair of official boots.. And I am going to wear them all the time. Every chance I can get.

I love being Jedi. This is my 1st year to officially costume, with a good costume. I've done Halloween parades at school & always was dressed in some kind of costume. The Saga may have been completed but the Jedi have come back, especially in the EU books. I'll wear my Jedi costume as often as I can, while I can. As I've told family members when I'm dressed as a Jedi I feel so relaxed & good about everything around me. I actually hate to take it off & put it away. I'm looking forward to conventions, C4?, & any volunteer work that asks for Jedi costumers. When I'm in Jedi costume I do remember to to be of service to others instead of just myself. I'm noticing to that instead of saying I'll try to do something I say I'll do it. I think the Jedi code is very helpful for many areas of life. It's even easier to remember the Jedi code when in costume.

SW is now on the level of an Iconic franchise (like Star Trek). I believe there will continue to be interest for a good long time to come.
