What grind my gears? A Financial Aid department who first tells you have to pay something back, then tell you it's taken care of (and send the check back), then tell you you have to petition for Financial Aid (basically sending a letter explaining why you dropped a class), THEN let you register anyway without telling you you STILL have to petition! ARGH!!! What gets me is, if I don't qualifiy for Financial Aid right now and I haven't paid them anything, why in the heck is there something on my bursar's receipt that says something to the effect of all classes paid in full? WHO paid for them??? Sorry for the rant, but this may have screwed up my chances of going to CIV...and getting a few things I need like new shoes. ( the old ones are develloping holes) Not to mention I still have to pay my parents back for them paying for my books.

the whole financial aid system is out of wack....they help those out the most whom they see as benefiting them, and only give the ones they dont crap unless you dig for every free penny

Well FEMA did that to plenty of people here...
We're still digging outta debt and will be for a few more years. Plus we did one of those don't pay for 24 months for a mattress.. well now that's going to add up as we won't be able to pay for it now and we'll get snagged with that bill plus everything else.. I can barly make a payment on my two credit card bills right now and I HAD to break down and go buy shoes. My last pair were getting too tight and wearing out.. not too mention Ive got from size 8's to 9's now sense being preggers. So now with everything going on we're living paycheck to paycheck just barly making it while others got off easily from the storm that didn't lose everything. Yeah we didn't loose anything.. but we got crap while others got away with thousands that could have helped us out...

People who don't respond to email in a timely fashion.... much less, within a month! Grr.... Particularly when these people work in an office, with a computer, and obviously need to check their WORK email at least once a day. -La

What really grinds my gears, is about the same items mentioned since page one of 'the gear grinding' thread.:-D One that REALLY strips mygears to the metel rims are folks who call me 'religious". I'm NOT religious, UI've a relationship with God. HUGH differance. I've been around, lived with and observed many 'religious' people in 25 years. Some are alike, some arn't. One item is the same but in differant quantities, the relationshio with the creator would only be surface deep/lip service. I agree with UCJ and Ldi, if you claim to be(Insertaffiliation here) give it actions. Hypocrites grind my gears too. Or busybody 'cop' person. Who feels they have to police everyone else. They've no compassion or empathy and "May" not police themselves. Argghh. Ineed to go buy a new set of gears.

What grinds my gears, among other things, is that as a vegetarian, people always feel the need to ask stupid questions, such as, "Well, will you ever eat meat again?" I hope not to, but it's unforseeable. This is like me asking them if they'll ever contract cancer. They hope not to, but it's unforseeable.
But the best (or worst, I guess) is when people feel the need to inform me that because peanut butter is in the same food group as meat, I'm not allowed to eat it. Wow. In the words of a comedy great, "here's your sign."

<snicker> hehehe, That comedian's funny.
EH, don't listen to people who'll give you trouble over being a vegetarian. If it's what you want to eat, then who cares. Peanut Butter, is made from a high protien nut.(Almond butter too.) If someone's vegan, or vegetarian, it doesn't matter to me. I vegetarian food too. Ever a tofu thing called "Tofurkey"?(Not kidding, that's what it's called. LOL). Tofu made and spiced like a kilbasa.
