What grinds my gears? Is people leaving their shopping carts without putting them back where they belong at shopping malls or grocery stores. But the worse is leaving carts in the parking areas of a handicapped parking spot. My father is handicapped and I usually have to get out and then move the cart where its needs to be. Then park

hmm, what grinds my gears. I would have to say trying to get a hold of a friend who, I am pretty sure, would know I am trying to get a hold of him because he is leaving in 5 days to go down to Texas, and I can't

i would agree
People who go to church on sunday, and claim they are christians, but cannot bring up the generosity to tip more than 15 percent on a sunday.

At one point, our church demanded that all parishiners donate 2,000 each to the construction of a new vestibule to the building. At that time, I was 3 months late on my mortgage, and we were 5 people living in a tiny tiny house. I had no bedroom, we slept on a sofa bed. They had the nerve to chastise us with phone calls and such. Some church. I'm not part of that anymore.

Yikes.. I hate churches like that...
What also gets me are people who have to badmouth somethign they have no knowladge on with relgion. Other then stuff they hear or read on the net which can be VERY misleading. Such as the relgion of Jehovah wittness's/ Yes they go door to door.. but theres so much stuff out there that's false about them. My own family are apart of that group and I am studying and understand it. Yet my grandmother fits into the catagori of people who have to slander it and anyone associated with it. She thinks that were brainwashed, don't have any fun and goes on an on about it and how horrid it is when she knows nothing really about it. Plus she took my entire family out of her will just becasue of it.. and the relgion changed my family for the better...
But man.. any type of relgion that people jab at gets me.. I don't care what someone is.. as long as they are happy yet people just grind my gears on anything they have no clue about..

I gotta agree there.
ANd also churches who seem to do nothng but talk bad about other religions...
It just burns me when I walk into a Christian bookstore and see anti-Jehovah's Witness or anti-Mormon, or anti-whathaveyou books... I thought Christianity was supposed to be centered in Christ, not which religion is the best. Seems kind of haughty to me, and that is not a Christ-like attitude

While not agreeing theyr not goign to say "your relgion is this.." Just goes to show were christain love is with these churches who all want money or a peaople count.. whatever it is.. I would have to say this grinds my gears the most...

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who claim to be Christians, but aren't. They're doing what I call 'playing church'; they're all fine and dandy inside the building or on Sunday, but once they're back to life, they're up to the same things all over again and sometimes act even grumpier than everyone else. So then the other people say: 'THAT's a Christian? Huh! I don't want to be like that!' and that's where you get all these media people putting ALL Christians or even people who got to church down. What??? now that's a weird church. Actually, 'weird' would be generous. That's rude and demanding and putting everyone into a mold. Most churches I've been to do ask people to give, but politely and they don't push you into it. I thought the main point of taking offering (besides paying bills and stuff...yes, the church can be messed up) was giving because you WANT to...not because you think you HAVE to. No one should be shoved into it. I'm ranting; sorry. I really don't want to make anyone mad.

I know for a fact that when my grandfather was dying a few years ago the current church we were going to said "We'll be praying for you.." And that was it. No other comfert, nadda. Wheras we learned that with the Wittnesses (and Im sure other groups) said they would have made housecalls, taken the kids for a couple hours to movies or the park , make meals.. Something to help ease everything. To me that's christian love.. when one goes beyond just praying..

Action often speak louder than words. And sometimes people do things for vain-glory instead putting the emphasis on Christ where it belongs besides He's the one getting you into heaven not the church."Whosever beliveth in me shall have eternal life"Jesus agrued with the religeous people of his day not the sinners.
