Not yet... But I did find one of those tall round hickory-smokers at the local H&E, and it has the perfect dome and body! Now if only I could figure out how to make those wheels roll... R2-D2 Builders won't let me join. No word why...

After seeing all the droid builders at CIII, I came home with aspirations!

My dream is to one day have an R2 unit at my side....
And a Droideka would look pretty cool sitting in my bedroom ;D

lol.... And I was just the opposite Leda...
When I saw the Droid Builders at CII....I went home hanging my head...they were a lot more complicated than I realized...I thought they were just large PVC tubes...but these guys have structural pieces of wood and metal....
And then seeing them again at CIII....I was even more amazed....

Heh Lazlo.
I think it might be in the Star Wars Radio Programs out many years ago, as C3PO is boarding the Falcon for the first time at Docking Bay 94 in ANH, being chatty as he is, where Han says, "I'm not too fond of machinery that talks back."
Something like that. I'll have to find those tapes.

When I was a youngling, I bought one from radio shack, it wasnt from the movies, just a dumb bot. You could program it to do like a patrol, but other then that it was only radio control.
The R2-D2 Builders group is fasinating, I spent a whole day reading stuff from every link...till i saw prices on the parts to build one...sheese... for a good one it would cost over $4000, just for the parts, disapointed, I filed it under, I wish.

I'm still working on the blueprints for my Jedi starfighter... the one for my back yard... Except they're not blue...

It would be so cool to make a droid! I don't know if I could do it...
Leda, which Jedi fighter are you doing? EpII or III?

Lazlo, I'm doing the AtoC starfighter, except I can't decide on red or blue... I'm leaning towards blue, but I want it to be recognisable to joe regular.

That's awesome, Leda! We were going to make a huge custom shuttle (that you could live in for a few days...bathroom would be an obstacle though) in the yard but it never panned out.
