OK...here is the deal. Fall is here...so lets see who can make it the longest without having their furnace kick in! My bet is on our southern frineds in Florida!! I'm already the loser...it got down to the 20's last night here in Minnesota, we even had frost ! Minnesota is not the icebox of the country for nothing !!! So my furnace kicked in for the first time in months.... So Who's up next....post when your furnace kicks in for the first time this fall ;D Jenny

Nice.... My furnace works all summer to heat the water. It hasn't been triggered by the air temp thermostat just yet.

Strange...I have three seperate units for different heats. I have a forced air (ductwork) heating system for my upper level, a water heater for my hot water and another hot water heater for my lower level's infloor heating system. Leda... do you have radiators that heat your house? That's how you can only have one unit do it all!!! My house must be overkill

Well were stillnot putting ours on.. and already our bill for this part of the year is 188.00!! What the Heck!! According to the eletric company were using the sam amout of kilowatts as last year.. I really hate the dang company for raising the eletric because of the Hurricane last year.. Its hard enough paying what we have..

My house must be overkill Not upright radiators, but we have hot water pipes that run along the baseboard. It's kinda unnerving the way my house is... I'm totally dependent on electricity. No power means no furnace (it's oil, but electric start), no hot water, no stove/oven, and no sewar pump. At least I have a fireplace. And the thermostat did trigger the furnace a couple of nights ago... it must have been pretty chilly because it was set for 60.

It's puff-back season.... but I'm not sure how much work I'll be getting. The company I work with isn't doing so well.

My furnace hasn't kicked in yet. I might turn it on soon. I love the weather here in Ohio... Around this time we see a low of 45 and high a little over 70 with a lot of sun. When things are just right I can run the furnace and the AC in the same day.
