Wow.... pretty, Leda. One of these years I'll go foliage looking. Thanks, Lazlo, now I want some maple syrup! lol! Especially Maple Syrup Cady! Mmmm..... I haven't had maple syrup candy since I was 12 in New Hampshire. I could just cry. I've been craving it for the past coupla months now.... Funny how when that time of year comes around you start craving that kind of stuff. lol! Yes, they make maple syrup candy! It just melts in your mouth. Think cotton candy all grainy and bunched up, but thicker so you can bit into it. And it's real maple syrup. No corn syrup stuff.

We have loads of colorful leaves here too. Plus acorns dropped like crazy last month--some say that means a cold winter with snow. JMD

Lazlo, You can always order maple syrup online. I know LL Bean has it (Maine maple syrup) but its probably more expensive than other places. Worth a thought. Here's a list for Vermont maple syrup (isn't that the best or is it mostly all the same) www.vermontmaple.org/maple-by-mail.html

They have it at every rest stop along the NY Thruway. It comes in cute little maple leaf jars, wax sealed! Problem is you don't want to open it because it looks so decorative. lol!
