Aloha! How I miss the Kailua and Waikiki sands.......though "you can never go home again" applies since they developed the beaches and put up those ugly hotels. "Long ago, in a Galaxy far, far, away..." I lived there (1967-73).
nice site by the way......some good pics too.

Aloha! Always nice to meet another SW fan! Is it really paradise in Hawaii? Or do the tourists/hotels/volcanoes ruin everything? (I'm kidding, BTW. )

Everyone, Thank you for the warm welcomes. It's good to communicate with fellow Star Wars fans and, moreso, other Jedi supporters & Jedi. Tenric Starkindler, Greetings! I know the feeling of "you can never go home again. I was born & raised here on O'ahu but then lived away for 11 years. I moved back here 5 years ago. I'm very glad to be back but so much has changed since I was a kid. Well, at least I still have my memories. Thank you for the compliments regarding the site & pix! I'm glad you like them. Jedi bikinis? I'll leave those to the women. For me, I'll stick with my (future) Jedi robes. Ha, ha. Janqui Coran, Good to hear. I always told people I met outside Hawai'i that they should visit my home state at least once in their lifetimes. Spend a week here if possible but 2 weeks is ideal. TheUndercoverJedi, Hawai'i is Paradise to me but I think it's just because it's home. However, I must admit to my love for the warm weather, the clean air & my friends here. May the Force be with us. Tenric,
The blowhole area is still an attraction for tourists & locals alike. However, I do believe getting too close is now (by law, anyway) off limits since too many people have been pulled in & one or two have even died, if I'm not mistaken. You know the old saying: "It's all fun & games until someone gets hurt". You'd think people would be smart enough to stay out of that kind of danger. Oh, well.
As for Hanauma Bay, it is still a big draw. That place is usually packed with people except for Tuesdays, I believe, which is when I think the area is closed off for its weekly cleaning.
May the Force be with you.
Jay Tee
P.S. Rebel Legion Hawai'i had its first official event last night at Circuit City, Pearlridge to celebrate the release of Episode III on DVD. I'll have pictures up on my website as soon as possible (hopefully within 2 weeks' time).
