Wiiner of TheForce.Net's annual(?) lightsaber choreograohy conest. Go to fan films at www.The Force.net/fanfilms/explore.asp and check out a few others, especially "The Art of the Saber". And there is a "Ryan Vs. Dorkman 2" out there somewhere too

I want to take some kinda class to just learn the basics...so I don't look like a smuck holding my saber  !

Martial arts, my friend. Kendo or working with Escrima sticks would help, along with a fencing or some kind of sword-fighting class. Even basic Self-Defense would likely help with rhythm and balance...sure did with me.
Which reminds me, I need to practice with those sticks...

 That's one of my probs. No one to spar with a couple of times a week. No classes around here either. :)I do like to see good light saber action--takes LOTS of practice
