After 4 times, I'm all messed up. I can't even think about it - I get all depressed and it drags me way down. I don't know what else to say.

Wow! Good point! I've only seen the movie once, so I'll have to keep my eye open for that! It makes so much more sense that it is dawn!

Wow! Good point! I've only seen the movie once, so I'll have to keep my eye open for that! It makes so much more sense that it is dawn! I doubt it could be dawn. Thematically it be great but the direction of the suns is exactly the same as they are when Luke is watching them set. So unless the suns rise and set in the same direction it's another sunset.

It looked like Owen and Beru were standing on the same ridge and facing in the same direction as Luke was when he watched the suns set in ANH. So, I think it's a suns set.

Too bad- it would have been a beautiful metaphor. End of one era, beginning of another; hope, etc...

I know I'm late but here goes anyway... I sobbed and shook like a leaf for the last 45 minutes of it. But then, I'm a very emotional person. Heck, I cried when I read the novel, AND when I listened to the Soundtrack. I really lost it when Padme' died and when the funeral took place. The ending was excellent. I didn't know whether to cry or smile. I did both. Perfect prelude to ANH! The symbolism was amazing! Anyone who thinks GL is not a genius now is nuts. Can't wait for the DVD!

Hmmm, it looked like the same ridge that Luke stood on in ANH, so that would make it a sunset.

The ending was perhaps my favourite scene in the entire movie. The sunsets, Tatooine, it just really gave you the impression that everything that went on in the prequels really was just a prelude. It was fantastic, you could just sense that circle transition into the credits, and the huge strike of the final music. Brilliant.

The part that bothered me the most in ROTS was the idea of Anikan killing helpless children. It wouldn't have bene a said cry but one fo outrage. I wanted to throw something at him.

I didn't like that part either but I understand why it had to happen like that. We had to see how evil he had became.
As for the crying I was tearing up when all my favorite jedi were killed. I didnt want it to happen but I knew it would. And it is a sun set . I just got done watching ROTS (friend gotme bootleg) and I went on a marathon seeing I have nothing to do and in ANH I think thats right were Luke was standing as well.

I've seen it 4 times myself & I get a bit shakey when I see the Jedi get it & the younglings die it just sends shivers through me. I didn't know where to ask this. I've got a question about the beginning of the film. After Obi-Wan is injured & Anakin is carrying him--is he actually carrying Obi-Wan or-- I don't know the thought just kind of struck me about it. I thought Hayden would have been pretty strong to do that & Ewan would have had to very trusting. I always like to find out how they make the movies--it's going to be very interesting to hear the commentaries on ROTS after watching it again on dvd.

I assume that it would ahve to be a mix of both, in some scenes its Ewan on his back, and in others it would be a dummy. Even a young and tough Hayden wouldnt be able to lug Ewan around that much whithout showing any signs of discomfort.

Hmm...very good question! Personally I think it 'had' to be Ewan for only ONE shot that I can remember; that's when they're in the elavator shaft and Obi-Wan wakes up an finds himelf staring down the shaft. As the others, it said in the 'making of' book that most of the time they used a dummy made up to look just like Ewan, and sometimes they even had digital doubles for both Hayden and Ewan, and probably even Palps.

Escpailly if Hayden had to do that many times that day. Unless they got sneaky and broke the scene up over a few days. It was a fireman's carry, it shouldn't have caused him much trouble.
