I think that all colors but black and white are possible. White couldn't be seen and black would require light thru an opaque crystal which couldn't work. So far as the rest why wouldn't they work? I don't see why it wouldn't.

I'd want an emerald green saber. Or if red wasn't sith, I sort-of like red. Don't worry guys, I'm not on the dark side. Actually in the EU, Leia has a red saber doesn't she? I'd probably chose the green over the red anyway.

crawls out from under her rock....
Mine is green.....don't know why....guess cause initially Lucas said...Jedi use green or blue....Sith use red....but, obviously....he changed that with the advent of Mace's purple blade....and when looking at all of my Hasbro lightsabers...most are blue....so, of course, I go with the green...
Great new picture Ryss.....love it..... Did you rotoscope your lightsaber yourself?

I'd probably chose the green over the red anyway. Leia does have a red saber in the EU in the Dark Empire omics-- she is being tempted to turn, so I guess that's why her's and Luke's sabers are red. And, isn't Adi Gallia's saber's red in TPM? And I have seen orange sabers-- probably in the Freedom Nad poster. I guess if a quartz crystal comes in a certain color, then it could be used to make that color blade. Right?

Actually, a friend from the Rebel Legion (Rod-Wan Deattrod) rotoscoped it for me. I can't do things like that!

Schph...you remember Rod....don't you?? He was a youngling at the Legion that fibbed about his age and went to Dragon Con....he is a very sweet guy and very smart and talented. He is only 17 so he was banned until his 18th birthday, although he definitely looked over 21....there is no ill will at the legion over this and everyone is looking forward to his return. He could really get a thread going......lol Also I haven't seen Joink around lately. He had mentioned before, that he might back off for awhile. I can imagine how frustrating it could be ,not to be able to be involved... ...I guess I need to shoot them an e-mail to see how they are......

em....
Rod Wan was banned....bummer...some folks at 17 are more mature than some folks I know who are much older....but I guess rules are rules...but I am sure Rod's parents must have known he went...he sure is dedicated. I am glad there is no ill will towards him...
wasn't he the guy who went to school dressed as a Jedi...I mean...how cool is THAT! If you shoot Rod-Wan an e-mail....make sure you tell him to stop by TJA! I went to work in Jedi garb...but only cause it was Halloween....and that was certainly fun....
I think Jonik is in flux right now.......I think he is very disappointed in how his costume turned out for the money he spent and is probably re-thinking his next step.

That is good to hear that Jonik isn't gone for good.....It amazes me at how mature and knowledgeable these younglings are...I met Rod-Wan at DC and I would have sworn that he was 20. he is a really nice guy. But like we said... rules are rules....I told the younglings at the Legion awhile back, not to fret over being young and having to wait. that they are so lucky to have been born during the SW saga. We were adults when it all started and they have their whole lives to be a part of it.*sigh*.....So to all the younglings out there...ENJOY YOUR YOUTH.....

Amen to that! What I wouldn't give for the body of a 20 year old again..for as much as I try to stay in shape...the aches and pains just get worse every year....I did one of our volunteer restoration workdays for the local Forest Preserve District yesterday...and after only 4 hours (in minus 7 degrees with the windchill) of chainsawing, brush stacking and brush cutting my body is screaming at me.....

Not only do the aches and pains get worse...but injuries don't heal as well either. I have a severe shoulder injury that will never stop hurting.....sure plays hell with lightsaber action...lol....oh....a query...Does the color pick the jedi or do the jedi pick the color? I know in Harry potter, the wand picked the wizard.....so I was wondering about the color of the blade........

Well, if I had my choice I'd want a silver one a la Corren Horn. But if it has to be an official one, I want either Qui-gon/Yoda green or a purple one, like everyones (3rd) favorite jedi master
