Oh sugar I like just not alcohol.:-) <VBG> I just can't drink large amounts of sugary things at once. :-) Red Bull is good for quick energy during workouts or at a Con from standing around a while.

Cool, All tea is good, and everything esle. Idon't drink sodas much. ALthough I do try jsut about any new kind out there at least once. Vanilla Coke was interesting, so was pepsi Blue, and Red Alert Mt.Dew. Down in Florida they have something called Ginger beer. It's a cola made from Ginger root. Not alcoholic, and you can't chug it fast. or it'll come out your nose. :-)

Oh, Emerita, I am trying that Ambrosia this weekend! It sounds absolutely lovely, and since I'm unpacking from a horrendous move, then I don't need to drive anywhere. Thanks for the recipie!!! Maybe I'll see you here on line, but don't expect good spelling!!

LOL...I won't...especially after drinking my recipie..... ;D The cold ambrosia is better, because the alcohol tends to evaporate when heated......
Cold Ambrosia.... I gallon of vanilla ice-cream 2 liter bottle Gingerale 2 cups chopped fruit of choice(frozen or fresh)...strawberries, peaches, mangos.( they absorb the liquor and taste wonderful) 1 liter of Vodka put together in large bowl. Let ice-cream melt a little and serve. Very Yummy.......

Let's play "Name That Novel" for a second, heehee: I seem to recall reading a SW novel in which Luke was drinking a hot liquid and thinking something like, "This is pretty good. What did the trader call it? 'Hot Chocolate?' From some obscure planet billions of lightyears away." I don't remember exactly, it was ages and ages ago that I read it, but I'm sure he was referring to Earth, heh. Does anyone know what the heck I'm talking about? I ADORE tea, any kind of tea, but I prefer loose, since it has no nefarious hint of "teabag." My favs are english breakfast, earl grey, oolong and any fruit-flavored black tea, especially apricot and passionfruit. Green tea is excellent iced. Mmmm. I avoid caffeine as much as possible, although I do enjoy a good hazelnut latte. I don't drink much alchohol either, but when I do, I'll get a guinness(from the tap only) or occasionally a whiskey sour. Lately though, I've been drinking nothing but water.

Nova, since your NYC-adjacent, have you ever been to Tea & Sympathy? I want to go there someday, it seems like a really neat place to hang out.

It was "Heir to the Empire". I just read like 20 pages of it. I'm pretty sure Luke was telling C-3PO he learned how to make it from Lando. If Lando learned it from someone else, i forgot. I stopped reading-- I found it boring.
