You would never guess how I got my name. I hadn't thought of one when I went to sign on here. So I just said OK jedi names sound like stuff backwards, so I'll look at stuff and turn it backwards. I was on the main assembly homepage so I looked at the title FAQ's and went OK that backwards is Qaf. There's my last name! So I looked at the title ABOUT and got Tuoba, but it looked beter with the U out, so there you have it.

That is weird, but so is this. I had originally thought of a Jedi name - Tarel something. What do you know, but there is someone on here that is a Tarel something. It would be SO weird if Tarel was a real name.

I got my name after reading a couple books from the Jedi Apprentice series. I was sitting in my room thinking for a while of a name I could use for a character I wanted to make to rp on chat... Well, about an hour later I took Si Treemba's name (Obi-Wan's Arconan friend from Jedi Apprentice 1 & 2) and did some letter changing to come up with Sionna Trekina.
My other RPG names that I use as part of Sionna's background came from random words I made up, but one came from using that formula thing: Megsari. I took the Megsa from the formula and added the "ri" to the end. (Megsari is Sionna's father's name.) If you wanna see how creative I got in names, see Sionna's biography page on my website.
As for her *real* name, Elektricia Shiekara-Karon, I like the name "Elektricia" and thought of it originally to use in X-men RPG. I added that to the modified "Sheik" name from Zelda: Ocarina of Time and added "Karon" (Sionna's father's last name) to it.
Hey, I've had this character for now 4 years, so I've had lots of time to make up alot of names!

I'm embarrased....I just followed the "formula" for mine...and it shows.....Oh well....I have had my name for about three years....so I guess I will stick with it....

well....the formula that I heard was....
Take the first 3 letters of your last name = Sch the first two letters of your first name...= Ph (my "real" name is Phyllis Schulte...
then take the first two letters of your mom's maiden name = Go (ready for this name Goestenkors) and the first 3 letters of the town you were born = Chi (for Chicago)...
so goes the Schph Gochi......

I think I heard something similar to that somewhere. There are probably some variations.

I get such a big kick when I get to a con and I say hello to others from the boards and when I say I'm Emerita, their faces light up like they are seeing an old friend.....makes me feel good.....like I belong to a greater purpose.

I have some friends from various groups that I belong to that still don't know me by my real name, and I've never known theirs, I can't remember that many names, and we all look very different in our mundane/real world clothes, even some of my closest friends in some of these groups would not rtecognise me/or I them. occassionally I'll run into one of them somewhere else and we'll look at each other and try to figure out from where, or by what name.

Here's one to make you laugh... I got my Jedi Name from an article in a Dragon magazine on how to come up with a High Elf name for your D&D character. Why a D&D magazine? I was looking for a name for my SWRPG Jedi Guardian, and I thought that since Jedi have Lightsaber styles, combat forms, and robes that reflect their personalities, why shouldn't the name also reflect the Jedi? Calaveylon Angavel actually means something in D&D High Elf language, and does reflect my personality. I asked my friends if the name fit, and they agreed that it did.
