It's funny how lighting/distance/angle can totally change the color of something in a picture!

Are MPM Costume boots and Motor Cowboy boots any simlar, like replications? To me, both of the Anakin boots looks about the same as well as MPM Jedi gloves looks like DavidYR1 Anakin gloves.

I just went ahead and ordered a pair of Obi Wan boots from Motorcowboy. It sure has me scared, forking over that much cash, but everyone tells me they are awesome boots. So, I took the plunge.
I got Jim Evans to post them in an ebay auction and I got them for $390. I then had a fire sale on ebay from some things I found laying around the house last week and made around $135!!!! So, that's a nice little downpayment I can make toward the purchase...

were you sure you made the mesurments a tad bit bigger than what you usually wear?
after a while leather shrinks. atleast for me it does. and ya want to make sure ya got enought room to move your feet around in them cause after standing for long periouds of time your feet spread out.

Leather usually stretches and "breaks in" to fit your feet. I could be mistaken, but I've never heard of leather shrinking.

its strange but for me if iam not carefull everything will shrink for me. when leather gets wet it will shrink. atleast whats what happened to my last pair of boots. it could of been a freak occurance but they shrank none the less.

Hmmm, not sure about the shrinking, but I guess that's the golden rule: don't get your $400 boots wet!!!

Just wanted to let everyone here know that I got my Obi Ep I Motorcowboy boots today!!! It took just about three weeks to get them from the time I mailed my money.
They fit great!! I will put in some cushions and arch supports just to make them soft but I am extremely happy with the fit and the look!!
Thanks to all who gave their advice...

I would like to see some pictures of your Ep I & II boots if can post them. Their designs have some slight alterations to them just about every year and trying to find the perfect boot is very difficult to do.

I don't have any pics right now of mine, but they are the exact same ones that are pictured on their website. Just look at the Obi Wan Star Wars boots and those are them!
I just went yesterday to a garrison photo shoot and I wore my Ep.I Obi jedi outfit with the new boots. They came out great and I can't wait to get my pics back!!
I'll be sure to post some once I get them...

I have done a lot of searching and checking out pics of the Ep. I Obi boots and I still think that the Motorcowboy boots are not quite right.
I'm not knocking them, I absolutely LOVE them, but I have noticed that the real movie Obi boots do not have any strap keepers on the inside part of the boot at the top. All I have been able to confirm is the row of strap keepers on the outside of the boot. But there are some clear pics of his boots from the front and inside and there are no keepers on the inside part of the boot...
and for those seeing those pics of the jedi wearing his boots in this thread, it is amazing how the color changes from one pic to the next. However, the true color of the boot is the one shown in that pic where you see just the boots themselves. They are a very reddish brown color just like that in the pic.
I also wanted to ask a question about your boots: are the soles colored brown around the heel? Mine are black but it appears that yours are brown. Did you ask for that specifically or is that how they came?

Motorcowboy seems to make his boots fitting with the contours of the leg. Obi-Wan's were not that form fitting, they have alot of room around the ankle and appear to slouch. The leather he uses is also way too stiff. Obi-Wan's are made of softer Italian leather. I don't think I would care for Motorcowboy SW boots for myself, but they certainly please alot of people, and that's what's important.
