So, are these good looking Jedi boots or what?
At $153, plus postage (they have options for free postage), they aren't cheap, but they're still less than half the price of custom made and they look perfect. I'm quite tempted. They're at:

I have never ordered from this site, so I can't vouch for their service. But the nice thing about the zappos site is that you can search by:
shoe type
color
size (3 to 18)
width (4A to 7E)
heel height
price range
You still may not find what you want, but you don't have to waste a lot of time looking through shoes doing it.

Zappos is good. I've bought from them once before and had no problem.
Those look like nice boots. That's actually the color that mine were before I dyed them.

Those are some great looking boots. Too bad they are for women, and not men. I can't seem to find a boot that goes high enough on my calf with that look for in a men's size. Anyone got any ideas as to where I could look for something like that for a male?

They are a lot like my own boots, plus some greeblies. I envy the thinggy around the ankle.
I agree its not all that cheap, but unless you get lucky getting boots, those aren't expansive either.
Mans jedi style boots are even harder to find then woman's boot... if you find something good looking at a reasonable price, and you can afford it, I say go for it.

Check out the other thread I started about men's and women's shoe sizes. All you need to do to convert from women's to men's shoe sizes is to add 1 1/2 to the size. So, if you wear a size 9 for men, look for a size 10 1/2 in women's shoes. The conversion chart is at:

You can test it out by just going to a big-box shoe or department store and trying on a plan, slip-on pair of women's shoes or boots (with a rounded, not pointy toe!). Nobody will care in a store like that. Men and women pretty much have basically the same feet.
You do want to be cautious about shoe width. If you always have to get extra wide shoes, it will be same for either men's or women's sizes.
The thing you always have to be careful of is pointy toes on women's shoes. Never get a pair of boots unless you're sure they have rounded, foot-shaped toes. You can get multiple views of the boots above and you can see that they have rounded toes.

The boots aren't particularly feminine, as there's no built up heel (even men's riding boots will have that much heel to them) and the toe isn't too pointed... If I was still looking for a pair, I'd give them a try, and, as Master Em-Borr said above, they can be dyed darker  |
