I am glad they had your size. I was disapointed when they didn't have y size in the first boot I wanted. The ones I got look great. It is so strange to actually be complaining about the calf being too big. I still haven't taken them in to be reduced, but I don't anticipate much trouble. I am going to have some real straps added to dress them up some. I am also going to see about getting a belt made. Hopefuly I will be able to go in on Thursday. I keep getting worried with the time going buy. CIII seems to be approaching fast now.

I know what you mean. I can't believe how LITTLE time we have until CIII ! The suede/leather designed boots that you ordered are really sharp, Jen-Ru!! My favorite was the dark brown color. As you know, unfortunately they didn't offer that color in the all leather ones. But that's ok. I like the lighter brown color too. It's just that the darker ones would've matched my belt better. At this point, I just want to make sure I can get a pair of boots that fit!! ;D Once I make sure they do indeed fit right (please, please, pleeease), I'll have to go have the Obi-Wan straps put on them to make them look a little more "Jedi-ish". Now for the long 10-day wait for them to arrive.

You probably can stain them a darker brown if you go to a shoe maker and ask him/her what stains touse and how to do it soit looks good. I stained some camel colored boots a reddish brown liek Obi Wan's. It turned out good and they have this 'been 'round the galaxy' worn look. All on accident.:-D

True. Thanks for the tip. I'll have to see their "true" color when they come in and see if I lke it well enough or if I want to attempt to darken them. Sometimes a picture can be deceiving. Thanks Jauhzmynn!

I got these from eastern coast costume in MA who also have them on ebay, $40 with shipping. Anyone else have these? If so, what do you think? Of course, I'd rather have better ones, but I'm just starting my outift and trying to keep the costs down. I've already got sport cargo pants from Land's End ($25), robe from ebay ($60) and am trying to get a karate gi as a tunic. Which BTW does anyone know where I can get a belt, obe and tabbards? I'm new, so please bear with me if I got something wrong. www.easterncoastcostume.com/Pages/gogoboots/1404LG_BRN.htm

The boots look fine. I have plain, brown boots that I got on ebay. What's most important for Jedi boots is how they fit. Break them in before wearing for long periods of time in costume. Have you looked at the costuming links for the other parts of the costume? They're the best place to start, because they have pictures.
