Well I thought I would share a poem I wrote. I made it for my husband who's over in Kewuit right now. But I wanted to share it with my Jedi Family too. So if any of you all have poems you wanna share... Whispers in the Wind I reach my hand up to the stars overhead The twinkeling light bends down to my bed Closing my eyes I breath out a kiss to send to the stars as a wish For the one I love is far away The stars making want to say "I love you my darling, my best friend" The breese catches it to send In new surroundings all seems to be lost Yet hope is around the bend and never crossed Carried on a simple kiss It's something you'll not miss The stars shinning down greet witha smile Their warmth streaches for a mile The sky is the same across the world Never to be unfurled A wind comes up touching your cheek The kiss is deleverd as I speak "I love you my darling, my best friend" The wind catches to send Mountians and oceans may have us apart yet the sky is unchanged for a start Our love runs deep as the open sky no matter where we both know why So close your eyes with me The wind whispers threw the trees "I love you my Darling, my best friend" The greatest love that will never end

My 10 year old wrote this
City of Leaves By Garrison Moncher 9/30/05
Leaves are like millions of people trying to build a city. The leaves are like people and the tree is a city. Branches put the leaves into a family. Each tree is another city, and every time a seed sprouts another city is being built.

I see that as partly Jedi related. If ya think about it. But I would be amazed too if my kid did something like that. Was that just for fun or was tha for a school project???

Kids are deeper thinkers than we often imagine them to be. I was shocked when my middle son wrote a very chilling freestyle poem for school... sixth grade poetry... it was about kid dying in a car accident, and he was the kid! Myself, I wrote alot of poetry when I was little... it's a way to get your feelings out when you're a tongue-tied kid! I also write nowadays... but I have kept a collection of my absolute favorite poems, written by others... I started it in elementary school. I tore poems out of my school text books and I still have them. Many of them were copied from a school chalkboard, various publications, and later, the internet... One of these days I'm going to put them all up my web page.

Oh, Himiko, that was incredible! Mon-jas, your boy is very talented. Leda, that poem is very sad and unnerving. I wish I could find all those old poems that I wrote as a kid!

This isn't mine at all, but I really enjoy it. It means a lot to me.
What if dreams came true? We could be who we wanted to be, We could do what we wanted to do, And we could help who we wanted to help. What if dreams came true, And the world opened up? And you were never, ever afraid. What if dreams came true? But dreams do come true, don't they?
