Well I'll make an illustration of mine and e-mail it to you sometime. Then you can go and check on the specifics of sawing in the costuming part.

sorry i have that pic and name cos shes my fav jedi and....if you come up with a name for your Jedi character...you can always go and edit your profile... You will keep the same name as a log in... but there is a box called "Name....this is the displayed name that people will see"... ..you can change that at any time.......and then your name will change in all your posts to your Jedi character's name... ...and Aayla is one of my faves too....

Hi everyone! I just joined, and thought I would mention I too, am from Canada....smack in the middle; from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
I have made a few costumes; two Jedi (one was for my daughter when she was young), a stormtrooper outfit (not very good, but it lasted long enough for Halloween!) and a Darth Maul costume I now have on a mannequin in my Star Wars room.
I'll be at C3 the whole time.....hope to see some of you there!

New guy here, just joined not long ago. Already posted in the introduction section but thought I'd post here as well
Don't think anyone here is as 'outer rim' as me. In fact I wonder if there's anyone here from the far east at all?
My name's Pol and as my ID suggests, I'm crazy about lightsabers, especially those made from flashguns and is identicle to those used in the moivies in every detail. I'm a purist and would like everything to be as 'authentic' as possible.
I'm from 'The Land Below The Wind', right above 'The Land Of The Hornbills', in beautiful Sabah, Malaysia. Most of you who didn't know where Malaysia is before should know by now no thanks to the Dec 26 Tsunami. Malaysia got oof easy, with only 62 deaths.
More recently in early February, another earthquake in the Celebes sea caused a mass exodus of villagers living on the northern coast of my state to high ground when they saw the tide went out half a kilometer further then the usual low tide line. Good thing no tsunami came.
I'm in the midst of ordering a jedi costume from a local costume shop, but I'm beginning to have serious doubt of their ability, since they've only made very very simple Jedi costume for Halloween and casual parties. I've been trying to get them to do some research online by providing them with links and sending them photos, but they just don't seem to be bothered. To them, a Jedi's costume is just a shirt, a pants and a robe. very very frustrating...
Is someone here willing to make a costume for me and mail it to me? I know its gonna cost me a lot more then making it locally, but at least I'll get a good quality costume, instead of something I know I probably won't like.
Appreciate any input anyone can gve me

Hello there...
I've been to Borneo a few years back, Kuching Penang... I do a lot of sawing, so I wouldn't mind doing a costume for you, of course I need measurement... but if you tell me which Jedi you want to be...I can have a look around for textiles... Let me know

Hello there... I've been to Borneo a few years back, Kuching Penang... I do a lot of sawing, so I wouldn't mind doing a costume for you, of course I need measurement... but if you tell me which Jedi you want to be...I can have a look around for textiles... Let me know Thanks for the offer. I don't want to be any particular Jedi, but would rather have something unique, while still being recognisable as a Jedi. I have found some drawings here and there and want to borrow elements from each one. Can I email the pics to you so you know what I have in mind? What kind of measurements do you need from me? Do send me a checklist
Kuching is in Sarawak, or 'The Land Of The Hornbills', just below me. Penang is on the malaysian peninsular, across the South-China Sea. Penang was the worse hit state during the Dec 26 Tsunami. Good thing you were not there then.

Wow....some pretty awesome sabers you have! I LOVE the Oriental saber....that one is just plain beutiful! Thanks. ;D Most of my sabers are unfinished...too busy buying new stuff to get all the parts necessary to finish them
I'm thinking of replacing the Graflex part of the oriental saber with something more unusual, but haven't come up with anything suitable yet
