Who do you think would win between Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi?

I think Obi-Wan but that is my opinion.

I would say Mace, if Mace Windu uses Form VII, Vaapad, on Obi-Wan, he would have no chance.

i vote mace because he is a better swordsman and i think he would just barely scape a victory, and i think many people will vote for obi wan because no one wants to see the main character die

Hmm...tough one, but I say Mace, not only because he is my favorite character, and I totally dig Obi-wan, but not to give away any spoilers here, Mace totally hands Palpatine his "you-know-what", and I don't think Obi-wan would have stood a chance against Palpatine because we see him get beat by Dooku twice, and Mace could have taken Dooku any day of the week and twice on Sunday, so I would have to go with Mace as the winner. Form IIV fighting vs Form III, no contest.

mace windu... he really in my own would have beat palpatine had anakin not shown up at all the fight was almost over when anakin meddled. however obi got lucky by getting to high ground first if not the fight would have gone different...perhaps

I think it'd be a stalemate. It's essentially the same scenario as when Obi-Wan fought Vader on the Death Star... Their personal styles of saber combat cancelled each other out. Vader only won because Obi-Wan let him win by becoming one with The Force. Vader wouldn't have been able to beat him otherwise, and I think it'd be the same way with Master Windu. Vapaad is certainly the most aggressive form of lightsaber combat, but Form III (which Obi-Wan is a master of) is the most defensive, so I think they'd eventually cancel each other out.

i believe mace is a much better saber fighter considering he beat darth sidious and yoda said that obi wan wasn't strong enough when they had to go different ways

Mace was supposed to look like he was winnig so Anakin would see it and make the choice he did.
Palpitane could see the future and the JEdi could not (AOTC novel). it was all staged.
Palpitane took out the other jedi with Mace before even engaging him.......Mace was led on just as Anakin was.


I'd vote for Obi cause he was the only Jedi able to defeat General Grievous.....and I think it was Mace who told him so.

Tough one.

Emotion is the key. They would both have to know they were truly in the right. If one of them faltered and doubted their motives the other would take advantage. (That's EPIII Obi who is far more skilled than his middle years mulleted version.)

Mace has the most devastating lightsaber form imaginable and according to clone wars, even without it he's absolutely deadly. Obi wins all his main duels (Maul, Grievous, Anakin) because of an oversight by his opponent. If Mace had no reason to think he had won already he would not let his guard down and thus he would win by cancelling out Obi's streak of good luck and taking advantage of the situation.

But if they were just sparring, Mace again, every time. He was a member of the Jedi council while Obi was still popping pimples and trying to control his voice.

Mace has that whole BMF thing going for him.
BUT Obi has that "I'm the hero and therefore cannot die" thing going for him.....and he's scottish.
