DISCOVERYAn excited twittering from Zed drew Tenric’s attention as he hopped out of the c0ckpit and slid to the ground. There was no need for Tenric to interpret it though for at that same instant his Force sense echoed danger to him.... A blaster bolt struck the top of the boulder and rained rock fragments down on his head. Whoever was out there had a heavy blaster, steady hand, and very quick reflexes to have come so close.... ================================== Full story to date can be read in the member's area at: www.wordcraftcafe.com

...They took in the scene quickly and raised their blasters. The fact that their comrade had a scorch mark on his chest and was holding his weapon as if not sure what to do with it was almost as disconcerting as seeing Tenric sitting on the wing of his craft smiling... ================================== Full story to date can be read in the member's area at: www.wordcraftcafe.com

ECHOES...As the group rounded a hill and turned to face the open plain on which the old ruined temple stood Tenric stopped short. He hadn’t thought the mere sight of it would arise such feelings in him. The others mistook his reaction as disapproval of their choice and he let them think so since, inwardly, he did disprove... ... Just as the hyperdrive reached the critical mass/energy threshold it breached and the entire ship was immolated in the backwash of power that ignited the fuel reserves. Ships data recorders and sensor readings from the nearby escort ships later showed a momentary spike in the ship’s power plant prior to the explosion. None registered the small black craft angling away from the underside of the doomed ship moments before it blew. ================================== Full story to date can be read in the member's area at: www.wordcraftcafe.com

Not much for now, but I need to get rolling on the story once more: ================================================= QUESTIONS...Even though he knew they would find nothing, he still used a nearby nebula to mask his jump. Palpitane had insisted on an ‘accident’ and he wasn’t taking any chances. “Now my friend,” he said to himself as his ship entered hyperspace, “we can continue our discussion…” ================================== Full story to date can be read in the member's area at: www.wordcraftcafe.comstay tuned............

...He could still feel the deaths of his fellow Jedi all these years later. His connection to the Force made it seem as real now as it had been ten years ago. He shuddered slightly at the intensity of the memories. He could once more smell the smoke and feel the heat of the battle... ================================== Full story to date can be read in the member's area at: www.wordcraftcafe.com

....He could still smell the aftermath of the explosion that had nearly killed the whole group, but it was the deaths of the Clones that haunted him most. He had bought his friends their chance to escape that day as he vented his anger at those he blamed for his master’s death. He had nearly fallen to the dark side in doing so and the intervening years had not eased the pain of the memory much. He knew at least two full squads had died as the result of his anger.... ...Mon-Mothma raised an eyebrow at the signal and Derek groaned under his breath. “With your permission Madam,” Tenric said holding out his comlink, “My Astromech is a bit of a worrier.” ================================== Full story to date can be read in the member's area at: www.wordcraftcafe.com

...Their fight in the cantina on Soma III had taught Shadowspawn a healthy respect for both that blade, and its owner. He had never faced a single opponent who was able to go toe-to-toe with him and walk away, much less come close to besting him as the Rogue Jedi had. He would need to make sure their next encounter remained more civil if he wanted to have any chance at turning Starkindler or learning the secret of the ‘Ghost Blade’... ...“I cannot stay.” Tenric offered, “I am being followed by a dark Jedi and must leave Dantooine shortly in order for my presence here to go unnoticed.” He informed her. ================================= Full story to date can be read in the member's area at: www.wordcraftcafe.com

OK. I finished up Tenric's Gambit and added a fourth installment to 'A Lesson Learned'.
I have also begun a follow up to Tenric's Gambit that I hope to have ready relatively soon.
The TJA Round Robin, A Shadow in the Force, is due to be finished soon as well. Tailon Kae and I each have one more go to wind it up.
THEN I hope to get back to this story and get it moving again.

I've just read through your entire story this afternoon, and I think it's awesome... I'm shocked you don't have very many replies to your creativity and your writing skill. Or perhaps I am missing them in the "comments for all stories" thread, which BTW I think is a terrible idea.. I can't scan 19 pages of comments looking for the particular story I'm reading... Anyway, I like this very much, I hope you continue it... Tenric is a great Jedi, with many special talents. You've made Shadowspawn an intriguing character without making me actually LIKE him... I'm curious if the name is "Shadow Spawn" or "Shadow's Pawn" either way it is also intriguing. Is this forum open to guest readers? I know of some people who would appreciate this story...

I've posted the link around... I'll let you know if anyone has a comment. Sadly, a lot of friends don't have as much time to read as I do, they are plagued by Darth Reality....

I posted links to Rogue Padawan, Tenric's Training and Ghost Blade... and you got two comments! 1. "Sure is a good character, and I'd love to see more of that last fragment of the story. "Starkindler", that's nice." 2. "Definitely a good read." Short but sweet!
