having a number of stories up now on a few forums I find that in-line comments are both encouraging and helpful. Plus it is easy to see feedback for your story that way. Otherwise authors need to read through the entire "comments" thread just to see feedback on their work. Seems a bit wasteful.
Perhaps Those authors wanting no in-line comments could say so at the start of their story and a comments thread could be started for that particular story? Just an observation and suggestion....

I agree...it seems totally illogical to just have one thread for comments, IMHO...
Every other site I go on which has a fan-fiction forum allows comments to be posted in the individual stories threads, rather than one 'master comment thread'.

If the person writing the stories wishes to have comments included in their story....they can post that at the very start of their story...
We had found that some of our writers wanted to keep their stories continuous....sometimes if there are a lot of comments the thread and the story get really cluttered...
so... if comments are your desire...go ahead and put that at the head of your story....

works for me since i made the request, it's how it has always been, write your stories or thoughts in the fan fiction threads, and make your comments in the comments thread i the fan fiction. thanks master gochifor re-instating this tributary for us fan fic writters.
