Went to see the new Harry Potter movie the other to see what this lord Vodemort(the evil wizard) actually looked like and such. I have to say he would make a good sith lord but palpatine would easily beat him. What do you think? For some reason couldn't find an actual picture of the guy from the new movie, this is as close as i could get. Funny though if im not mistaken this is actually a picture of Darth Maul when he was talking to Sidious in the Naboo throne room. Can anyone give me a heads up if im right?

Actually the picture is kinda close to what he looks like. I saw the movie over the weekend also. It was pretty good except I felt it went a little fast and left out a lot of parts. I know they have to because it is a movie and was already 2 1/2 hours but still. But the HP movies always feel a little fast the first few times I watch them.
But as to Voldemort or "He who must not be named" taking on Palpatine I think it would be a good fight. Magick vs. the Force would be pretty cool to see. But in the end I think Palpatine would win unless Voldemort hit him with an Avada Kedavra spell.

In my opinion they made vodemort look to human. I thought he would have looked more like the old disfigured man on the back of that guys head in the first one.

I thought they did making him look like he had the head of a snake ... from the description in the book, they did a good job.

Yeah he was suppose to resemble a snake but he just didn't act evil enough. He was to energtic, i thought he would have been more like an all powerful guy with an evil voice. Like a look from the guy could kill you. Now i want to see the next movie(i don't read the books)so i can see what happens.

Like Mon-Jas said they did do a good job recreating him from the books. You have to remember he is human but with snake like features. He used to be a handsome person before he turned into Voldermort.
But you should read the books they are really good. Also they have tons of stuff in them that you don't ever find out in the movies. Some of it I think is important but you will never know. Example in the 3rd movie POA: They never tell you how Lupin knows that the parchment Harry carries is a map. ( I wont say here in case you do want to read the book or someone hasn't) But I think it was at least good to know for the movie.

The only books i read are the first and third one so i kinda knew what was going to happen in them, and i knew there was going to be a giant snake in the second one.
I know in this movie they left out something about Hermione freeing elves or something, but the baby looking voldemort that was creepy.

Ralph Fiennes, a renowned British actor, played Lord Voldemort in this one. I felt that he looked very close to the Sorceror's Stone Voldemort (CGI, voiced by Ian Hart), which is a very good thing.

The only real difference between the two representations was the first one was older looking, and had a human nose compared to the other one.(Not counting the Tom Riddle Character)

Heard the film people wanted the director to cut it down to 2 hours, so we were lucky to get 2 1/2. Yeah, he could have been more evil--I thought his character got watered down to much there. JMD
