I like music more than food, to quote the kid from August Rush.
What have you all been listening to lately?
Today I've got a playlist with songs that I'm trying to learn. When it gets nicer out I'm going to go Downtown and start busking (playing my guitar on the sidewalk, for those not familiar with the term). So my playlist has a bunch of Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and other songs in that vein.

My four favorites lately have been 'The Show' by Hawk Nelson, 'One Year, Six Months' by Yellowcard, 'Unwritten' (forgot the artist), and 'All the Same' by Sick Puppies. Most of the time I love listening to upbeat, fun songs. 8)

I recently got hooked on Country Music. The new, more rockin' stuff, not the sad old kind. I haven't bought an album yet, but Country Music Television is on a lot. It's quite a change from the normal Har Rock/Hevey Metal I listen to all the time.

When I'm performing I'm usually listening to whatever we're playing, so right now it's Dvorak's Te Deum and Rossini's William Tell. I'm really looking forward to the new Minnesota Orchestra recording of their series of Beethoven Symphonies. The newest one will have Symphonies 1 and 6.

I love Gerry Mulligan. I took a jazz history class in college, and it was one of the best classes I ever took. Gerry's work with Chet Baker is fantastic. The bari-sax and flugelhorn complement each other so well! I have Chet Baker's "Live in Tokyo '88" album, which was one of his last shows before he died, and it's amazing. For a drug-addled old guy, he sure could play. If you don't have it already, I'd highly recommend it. Do you play?

Didn't you say in another forum that you play violin? Who do you play with?

Like far too many artist to list them all, but most of them are a combination of Christian Rock, and Soundtracks.
