I did notice one thing that I missed watching fisrt time around. Mace's was the first death yoda felt, from order 66.

I like to think that Yoda also sensed the deaths of the other three Jedi masters that Sidius killed before he got to Mace. But Mace's death was also coupled with Anakin going over to the dark side at the same time. So, Yoda could have been sensing that as well.

I doubt it as well. Do we all remember how Palpatine died? He was not hurt at all, he was just betrayed by vader and fell to his death, yet he couldn't stop himself from falling. Mace was betrayed and lost his hand so it seems even more less likely that he could save himself.
