Well, Leda sounds like a Mom that's lots of fun. I am somewhere between eccentric (maybe "artsy") and a "proper" traditional Southern belle. My Mom keeps trying to steer me more toward the "proper" without much success. She's still a bit freaked about the fencing so we don't talk about it, and this week I have a wicked-looking bruise on my arm I hope she doesn't see. [She is a wonderful woman, and I do wish I were more like her in a lot of ways -- we are just very different personality-wise.] I had a chili dog with Dad this week and was telling him about going to Knoxville in June to visit with Pam, and this was the conversation: So what's in Knoxville? Well, we're going to sort of an exhibit. What kind of exhibit? A SciFi exhibit -- OK, it's like a Star Wars/Star Trek Convention. They wear costumes? Yes Are you going to wear a costume? (I think he knows me... he did see the Jedi pic in my office Yes, probably What kind? Jedi Where'd you get it? Made it Hmmm, OK, sounds like fun. I used to watch Star Trek with him as a kid. He knows I like this stuff but I don't go over the edge... My mom thinks all of it is over the edge. Oh well....

My son Andrew (20), Anim8r here on the boards... I never knew Anim8r is your son! ;D I also can't believe I missed this thread the first time around! Soooo... My name's Kevin and I'm a costume-aholic. I'll be 37 in May, although I never really grew up. Been a big kid pretty much all my life. ;D I've been married for 7 years now, with three step-kids. They're grown up, and only one still lives with us. No kids of my own planned. Three cats, one dog, and a fish make up our home zoo. Costuming, prop/toy collecting, body building, some martial arts, airsoft guns, and model building are the majority of my hobbies. That and movies! I LOVE MOVIES! Mostly Sci-Fi and action/war flicks. If I like a film, I'll watch it 50 times! I have enjoyed costuming since as far back as I can remember- dressing up for Halloween, and later the various Sci-Fi conventions I've attended (Dragon Con being the Grand Daddy of 'em all ). It should be no surprise that my best subject in high school was drama. I still kick myself every now and again for not pursuing a career in acting. Oh... I like those Star Wars films too.

something to add, have a girlfriend, of course some of you already knew that, and very happy, and her dad has fun saying we can't get married next year, since she just had a sister get married, and her sister also said we can't get married until she meets me, and her sister's Mother-in-law, says that we will get married, something about the eyes, so yeah strange family my girlfriend has, and of course she is a Star Wars Fan, which is a plus for me, since then we can do couples costumes, first one we are planning on doing is Anakin/Padme episode 2, might do a Luke/Mara Jade, and also might do Cronto/Karva, a couple of Jedi's I made up

Hey Leda, very cool pic! Your family looks awesome. Amazing how things change in only a few short months! Oh, well. Might as wellpost again. I forgot a few things last time! Status: Have a boyfriend in the army over in Kentucky right now. He says he wants to take this relationship slowly, so he promised not to mention the word 'marriage' for at least two years. *WHEW!* Hobbies: Sewing, especially with old fabric (working on a backpack made of old blue jeans tight now); reading, writing books, rock-climbing, tinkering with electronics, and playing musical instruments. So far I have yet to find one that I can't play. Pets: Used to have a whole ZOO! 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 fish, 1 rat, and a parakeet. Then we moved and had to give away all but the parakeet. Now we have him and a different kitty.

I missed this thread.:-)
Well, I've a boyfirend, been friends with 'em for a year, and dating for a year, and will marry him in November this year.
Only three cats, a dog and afish are a zoo?? Small zoo.:-D My parents, now they had a zoo. This is the most up to date count of the creatures.
13 mice,(bought pregnant at the pet store.) 1 rat,(tame) 7 cats, 3 dogs, 4 rabbits(our two made 2 babbies),3 birds. 30 animals and 6 humans.:-)
I don't live there, but on my own. I have three cats. That's all the critters for now until I've space. When that happens, I'll get a XL boned Mancoon cat and an Egyptian Mau.

(But I won't ) They listen very well. They argue... and sometimes it's a battle of wits. But reason always wins.
