Yeah, Schph... I did the same thing with skating too... I took lessons for two years and learned a few of the jumps and stuff, but there was this footwork... kind of like dance steps that we had to learn and I got really bored with it and didn't practice it... then I got new blades put on my skates and the guy who did it drilled new holes instead of using the same ones. So my balance was slightly off due to misaligned blades. I got really frustrated at that point and stopped going to sessions. My skates have been adjusted sooo many times since then, and they still aren't right. Unfortunately, ice skating is not something I can do in my living room!

Sports? Mmmm. . .I like baseball and horse racing. I love dancing--that was my minor in college the first time back in '70s, along with Drama, with major in TV/film and radio production. JMD

Hehe, martial arts for me. Three hours a day and competitions(the few i attend). I usually don't do much in the winning category, but that's mostly from lack of interest. Fights with that many rules are boring. There's no unexpectedness to it if they tell you what you can and can't do.

I'm a college graduate with two Bacher's degrees. Been out of the country a few times visiting Venezuala and England and canada. All are beautiful places.
Best subjects, the sciences, theology and anything pertaining to languages and cultures. Worst subjects:typing class.
I didn't play much varsity sports cuz I was always too small or too young for the teams, and by the time I was old enough, I'd already moved. I moved a lot as a youth thanks to a military parent.
I don't watch many sports on TV. I'd rather play them. My fav is basketball.:-D I doubt building and tree climbing counts as a sport in this country.:-D
I enjoy doing martial arts, sword play. and used to as a kid to grab anything to use as a sword. Broom handles, tree branches and spar with my older sibling. I tried to live a balance of lots fo excersis of the body, mind and spirit. Lots of long distance endurance running, book reading and praying. Somehow it made me stronger.

It's cool how we've got a lot of people here with so many similar interests. ;D I skate (speed) and practice martial arts as well. I recently earned my 2nd degree in Tae Kwon Do (Ji Do Kwan). My husband has his 1st degree and is working on his 2nd.
I'll throw a little more stuff in here as everyone else is sharing: I recently got my Master's degree after 4 long years of taking classes here and there (I actually dropped one class because it was going to interfere with the Ep2 opening), in Aeronautical Safety Science. My undergrad was a B.S. Management of Technical Opeterations. I currrently work as an aircraft technician, but I want to be an accident investigator when I grow up.

I enjoy martial arts too Karma, but I haven't had the money to pursure the forms I'd want. So I'm left with watching friends who know the stuff and learning from them.

[glow=blue,3,0000]I'm single and not looking for anyone at the moment. I'm only 20, so there's no rush.
I'm into sports, but I don't have time to actually practice anything regularly. If I could, I'd probably be in judo, fencing, or ninjutsu. I'd also like to be in the SCA... heavyfighting and horsemanship count, right? ;D
I'm not in school anymore, but I randomly read up on computers, philosophy, music, and anything else that manages to catch my interest. I have two associate degrees, so again, no rush. I'm just figuring out what I like before I go back to school.
Other than that, I'm crazy. Don't come near me or it might rub off! Bwahahahaha![/glow]

Well where do I start? I'm 33 years old, married to my best friend for almost 10 years. We've been together since 8th grade. We have 4 children we adopted in Sept. of 2003, Brittany 6, Kaylie 5, and Taylor and Tyler 3 year old twins. Tyler is a SW freak already. I've done just about everything. Gymnastics in my early teen years. Baseball through high school (even tried out for a couple of pro organizations). Went in the Navy after high school and served on a submarine and special forces. Been to every state (except Alaska) and several other places. After the Navy, I spent time as a professional bullrider, which was an awesome experience.......until I started getting injured. Since then, I've worked at several different jobs and continued to study/practice the combat arts I was exposed to in the Navy. I'd still love to learn sword skills, but can't seem to find anyone in my area to learn from. Aside from all of that, I'm a SW fan since the beginning. I'm a voracious reader, everything from SF/fantasy to fitness. I enjoy nearly any kind of music, though my absolute favorite is classical with a heavy dose of hard rock thrown in. I enjoy almost any kind of movie except for those idiotic slasher flicks. I mean, come on, how stupid are these people that like up like sheep for the slaughter! ;D I do have one guilty pleasure, though. Godzilla movies! I know, they're cheesy, campy, and downright goofy, but I never miss one if it's on TV. Well, that's a quick run down of me. If anyone is interested, here's a link to some pics of our children. pages.sssnet.com/rodeo/coman.htmlCaan-Jaal

My ex-husband (yes, folks, I had been married before--a real sicko, he was) was a bull rider for rodeo before he joined the Navy. And my hubby of 28 years was in the Navy when I met him. Sounds like you had a cool life, Caan-Jaal, and the kids are adorable. JMD

Aww. mega cute.:-)
I'm 33 year old born-again nutty(in a fun way) christian.:-D single, and not looking. Bascially not too much of a hurry at this point unless the right one comes along. Hobbies are varied, from voracious reading to althletics. I've a nearly insashable appetite for knowledge.:-) I came from a pretty ruff background but thanskto God, I came through. It made me stubburn to pull through challenges. Now I'll take on a difficult challenge just because it is hard and becasue each one offers me knowledge. A lesson I can use to become the creation God intends me to be. Fears are overcome with His help. My journey isn't over, merely beginning.:-)
I think if Jedi training actually exsisted, I'd ask teh council to test me. And if possible put me through their training. Why? I'm curious for one thing, and it'd make me learn many things about myself and be difficult. It'd make me even more paitent. If this sounds goofy, that's alright. :-)

I'm 32, married for 18 mos. to my best friend of 10 years, college sweetheart from SUNY Oneonta. We live on Long Island with our "kid" Dusty, 2 yr old German Shepherd mix female. We also have a rabbit, Bandit who will be 7 this summer. We're thinking of moving to FL next year since its so darn expensive to live here on LI. I just started getting a jedi outfit; I guess I did not realize how many people dress up. Anyways, hobbies are paintball (when I can), '66 Mustang restoration, NASCAR, PS2 games, Mets, Jets, St. Louis Rams and NY Rangers. I love the Resident Evil series games and also like the LOTR movies. That's all for now...fellow Jedis! ;D

Make sure you talk to lots of people who live in Florida before taking the plunge. The cost of living is going up here all the time (though no where near Long Island standards). And there are other things....the hurricanes, the bugs, the heat and humidity that make air conditioning a necessity. Summer brings high utility bill months in Florida. The nearly complete lack of decent public transportation. Or even sidewalks. I'm only here because I got a decent job that's worked out very well. If I could just figure out how to get the same job somewhere else, I would.
And did I mention the bugs?

Thanks Ani. Well, my mother-in-law may be moving with us (my father-in-law passed away last summer). Right now we live in my Mom's basement apt. So, we gotta get outta here or we'll go nuts! And, my mother-in-law may help us with the house once she sells the one up here. So, that will help big-time! LI gets very humid too and the mosquitoes kill me. We're thinking of the Orlando area maybe in Poinciana or Lake Mary. We can always come back. I have 2 friends who moved from NY to FL, some relatives and my wife's sister and cousin live there as well. Thanks for the advice. Oh, my heritage is: German, English, Swedish, Norwegian from my Mom Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian from my Dad.

Wow Cam-Ji thats a lot of crap, I got a bunch in me too...let's see, I'm British, Irish, Scottish, German, French, Czechoslovakian, and Sioux indian lol. You can say I'm one mixed bag. About me? Well not much to tell, I'm about to be 17 (May 8th), and I've been a star wars freak as long as I can remember. I remember seeing the movies when I was about 3 or 4 and just being in love with it ever since. Hobbies? I love music too. I've also been singing my whole life (I'm a baritone). I write poems and stories, I love sports (played football for the last 2 years, managed to make it all the way up to starting right bench. ). I love video games too! Oh and I'm single and go to an all boy school! What a great combo! ;D (ah, sarcasm).

I'm 27 and currently live with my parents. My job just barely pays my pills. I used to be a kindergarten teacher. I taught for 2 years at a low economic school but made enough to have an apartment. THen I taught two years at a small school district and my salary was almost half. I had to move back in with my parents then. After 4 years I decided enough was enough. I valued my sanity to much. Now I work for a company doing Data Entry and other file work. It is the perfect job for me and I love it, except for the pay. So I am still at my parents. I had to work two jobs over the Holidays to save up and attend CIII and even then I have to eventually pay my mom back for some of it. I have a girlfriend, Angie, and we have been seeing each other for almost 2 months, but it feels more like years. She wasn't a Star Wars fan before we met, but she is quickly becoming one. Tomorrow she will finally graduate from college with a BA in English and Jounalism minor. We have already talked about eventually finding a way to get our own place. Even if it is an apartment. I have 3 babies. The oldest is Thumper, black and white cat, who just turned 12. Then there is Blue Smiley my 2001 Bright Blue New Beetle. He Turned 4 in Feb. Then the baby of the family, Lucky. She is a silver tabby that will be 3 this month. She comes to you when you sing and loves to play with the plastic strip you peel to open a milk jug. lol I am trying to get more active lately. In fact Angie and I went for a bike ride last weekend and rode about 5 miles. The funny part was when we reached our destination, a local park at the end of the bike trails, I ran into Stormtroop Phil from the 501. Seems we had the same idea about going to the park. I am hoping to dust off my rollerblades and put them back into use soon. As for sports. I love a lot of them, basketball, football, baseball. The problem is that no matter how much I loke playing them, I am terrible at it. In middle school I kept the score books for the girls team and acted as manager. In high school I played on our newly formed Softball team. Our second year we tripled our record by winning 3 games as opposed to the 1 game the first year. lol I played some and got stuck keeping the score books some too, but it was all fun. I would love to get to play softball again, or at least get to hit some balls. I always loved batting. I too am a heinz 57 Mom-French, dutch, probably more Dad-German, Irish, Dutch, and Native American (I know that my great grandmother was named Maude Rainwater) My nephew gets to add 1/4 korean to his mix. Typical American mixing pot.
