Okay, bit more on me. I've directed a Star Wars fan audio drama and voiced one of the characters. I've extraed in films and mini series and voiced acted in a small film that finished filming end of 2004. I've been writing for yeasrs, published poetry since age 17 and started publishing stories since 2002, with a so far eight accepted for publication this year, including an erotic fantasy coming out in Xodtica Magazine next month. I've been working on a book and a novella too. I do costumes (obviously), do crafts, crazy about dragons, exercise, love oriental, sushi and Mexican food, am a chocoholic and read a lot. I'm 50-years old and 5' 9''. Enough on me. JMD

Pets: Black&white California Kingsnake named Snakey
A fish called Bait-2 because he was supposed to be bait... he's a minnow, otherwise known as a "shiner". Anthony rescued him from a horrible death. We had a Bait-1 but I decided to put him in an aquarium and he died. Bait-2 lives in a bowl with plants I'm propigating. I also call him for lunch: "here, fishy fishy fishy...." ;D
A Hermit Crab named Hermie.
Used to have an American Toad that Xana named "Kashi" but I set him free in the garden last fall.

It all depends on the time in history ... now that region is considered Italy. So I'm Italian (Tyrolean)/German on my Father's side and Slovak (White Russian, according to the immigration papers) on my Mother's side.

It is nice to see some gypsy jedi. I am Romani on my father's side (Romanian and Albanian area Rom) and Scottish on my mothers. There is a Romani language school in Czech Republic and it is one of my dreams to kind of learn my roots. My biggest familial claim to fame though is my maiden name is ...LUCAS. Sometimes I think my husband married me because he secretly believed I was 174th in line of inheritance for Skywalker Ranch. Is is true, Perrin? Ismene

More about me...
100% French Canadian - mostly from Gaspe and Trois Rivieres in Quebec (pardon the missing accents!)
Dad's Family - Gallant - from Hache-Gallant up there Mom's Family - Bernier
This means I am very short and hairy - except on top
Lived Everywhere - as was mentioned in the where the heck are we thread....
No pets currently - and I haven't been petted in a while. I love animals of all types and lived with quite a few over the years. I was raised with Pugs and my mom still has two and I go over there for "Pug Therapy" which consists of lying down and letting them love me to death. My favorite cat I've met is Santana, a small Russian Blue my friend Inger had. She had the most personality in a cat I've ever seen...
Peculiars - love reading, writing and gaming (particularly D&D, SWRPG and L5R), I love to fiddle with cars and motorcycles, computers, getting kicked in the head (read karate), painting miniatures, playing and listening to music, I love Physics and Astronomy, mathematics, chemistry, whatever. I dig history and its effects and implications... the whole Renaissance bit.
I love my car - blue Mini Cooper (oh yeah)
And I carry my lightsaber everywhere like rosary. Most people consider me nuts. I am, and I have the papers to prove it. I was born with clinical depression and have lived with it so far.... So it's no big deal to me.
I love people and I feel it is my place to love and serve others as I can. I feel comfortable working for others and am pretty cool about taking orders. I am sensitive about certain things, like religion and hurting others' feelings. I get very upset if I do something wrong - especially if another was hurt. Oh well... I tend to be very casual and not appearance oriented (not having one certainly helps)... I'm laid back and rather tolerant as I can.
That's me in a nutshell - just don't tell the police where I am!

As for ethnic backgrounds: -On my Mom's side: -Grandma 100% Hungarian -Grandpa 50/50% Hungarian/Czech -On my Dad's side: -Grandma 75/25% Welsh/Irish -Grandpa 100% Irish I'm not sure which side has the stronger midichlorian count, however.
I'm a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I like skateboarding and snowboarding. When TPM first came out, my friend Nik was the only guy who had a Darth Maul action figure. In fact he had 2! One in, one out of the package. His older brother worked at a toy store or something and got about 5 or 6 the first day they came out. My jealousy of Nik's Darth Maul action figures is what really got me going in Star Wars I think.

My father was 3/4 Irish, 1/8 Scot, and last 1/8 was a guy named Davenport of strictly New England Puritan descent. My mother was 7/8 New England Puritan descent and the other 1/8 were some late-comer Germans to American (arriving in the early 1700s). So, on my father's side I have a thin ancestry of mostly Irish potato famine refugees who didin't write down what county of Ireland they came from. And on my mother's side I have a huge, fat ancestry (of people who conveniently stayed in Connecticut and Massachusetts for ten generations, except for a very few far travellers who ended up in Vermont and New York) that might have been even bigger save for some conspicuous inbreeding.

Married 25 years this May.
No children.
No pets at present. Had a dog as a child but have been allergic since my 20's. Kept pet rats for 10 years but didn't replace the last group as we weren't giving them enough attention.
Only child of "old parents" (mother was 38 and father 43 when I was born).
Ethnic heritage is mostly Irish on both sides: Mother's side has Halpin (Co. Kilkenny), Sweeney, Ford (Co. Cork...same as the auto family); My dad's mother was O'Brien and his father was the German. One of my dad's brothers was born in Germany.
SCA with husband 21 years, though not very active lately.
Raised Irish Catholic; left in anger at 20 (when the Bishop had our church chained shut so we couldn't worship....that's another story!). Received into the Episcopal church at 43 but am now annoyed with them and leaning toward Unitarian....ever more left wing, that's me! Also have a number of Pagan friends (I'm in the SCA, after all) and have done a lot of reading, what with one of my undergrad majors in Comparative Religion.

In an attempt to hang around a bit more, perhaps I should reply, hmm? 17 as of three days ago, have a wonderful boyfriend as of four months ago...no pets, am allergic to most. Two younger sisters and two parents, all of whom I have decent relationships with. Quirky things: I dance, being the best at tap, and recently started ballet and jazz. I perform with my studio's company and am having an awesome time with that. Am fond of making sticky-note lists. I like watching fencing, primarily because my sisters and good friends and boyfriend all do it. Fond of ancient civilizations, in particular Greece, and of the British Royal Navy in the early 1800s. And of course Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. Music likes: An eclectic mix of stuff. Older stuff like Queen, Simon & Garfunkel, the Eagles...new stuff like Green Day, Coldplay, Matchbox Twenty...crazy indie stuff most people haven't heard of like Bright Eyes, Dresden Dolls, Postal Service... If I forgot anything, just ask for it.
