Anyone going to see DOOM?

Ive been a fan of Doom since i first played it on sega, and have always wanted to see it in movie form. Although this one is based on the new Xbox version, from the trailers they look like they got the demons rights. Anyone plan on seeing it?

I'm very much looking forward to this... not so much for the Doom part (I think I played it once... nto sure) - but I just love seeing movies with The Rock! It's just ammusing... I can't take him seriously but it's always fun to watch.

Thats what im kinda afraid of because doom is suppose to be dark, serious, and a whole lotta hell. I just hope the rocks up for it...

At least resident evil apocalypse actually stuck kinda to the third game. I wish they would get rid of Alice(Milla Jovovich) and get someone to play leon kennedy or claire redfield.

Whilst I dont agree with the first half of that statement, I agree whole heartedly with the second

and what really makes me made is they won't put william birken in it(guy who injects himself with the G-virus on RE2) At the end of apocalypse i thought that doctor that alice almost killed was him but it wasn't. Now alice as these stupid telenetic powers. I mean come on isn't resident evil suppose to be about mutated monsters and umbrellas search to create a super soilder. Why did the put licker as the main monster in the first movie, in the game you can take him down with one good shotgun blast...why didn't they put tyrant in there instead?

YES! Finally someone who understands! You're right about everything there. The Resident Evil games were pretty B-Grade, but they made sense, and everything was explained... the movies decided to ignore everything that made the games logical. The real shame is that they were originally going to get George A Romero to write/direct it (director of the Night Of the Living Dead series, and the recent Land of the Dead) and his script was absoluteley perfect... its floating around on the web.

Why didn't they stick with romero...even the zombies on resident evil don't remind you of the games(i betcha romero would have made the movies just like the games). The movie ones are pale with a few scratches however in the game they are tore up from being ate and white eyed.(alices fake husband that got ate by licker at the end of the first movie was by far the closest to the zombies of the game) and i mean come on, Seda i know you would love to see Tyrant instead of licker in the first movie. They could have at least made part of the movie take place in the mansion and put chris or jill in the first one. Also if you remember at the end of apocalypse when the helicoptor crashes in arklay mountains why did they put that in the second and not start the first one off like that(the game where alpha team is searhing bravo teams downed chopper)
