Rats make good pets, very smart, hope they weren't future snake food. Don't like Trants tho! EEEEKK! 8 legs!

As a matter of fact we found these rats in a snakes cage at the pet store and when we found out that the poor rats had been in there for 4 days without food and water and the snake refused to eat them, we got very angry with the owner and caused a scene and we took the rats and have had them ever since. His shop was closed down shortly after and all of his animals convascated...thank goodness. I was scared of Trantulas until my daughter got hers...LOL

I used to have this nutty friend, he had a pet trant, the 1st time I was at his place I was using the bathroom, it crawled out from under the tub, the old type that had legs on it, I almost had a heart attack, he almost didn't have a trant anymore, but it was a good thing I was on the potty. He said he left it free to eat the bugs! AGGHH! Another time he was like see it's over there, but it shed it's skin, and that wasn't where it was.EEEKK! I'm only phobic about spiders, except for daddy long legs, they don't count, I like those, they're fun to play with. Nothing else really bothers me, I LOVE snakes, rats, mice, bats and lizards.

Never had a pet bat either,but we did have them live in the barn at times, in the hayloft. I got stuck with a friend on a mountain in N. Wales once,due to weather and we slept in a cave full of bats, they were interesting, little bats,they look really neat when they all come flying out of the cave. the shepards up there use the cave alot so they won't bother you if you leave them alone.

Just think how overun we would be with insects if it weren't for bats. Those little guys are really incredible.

Oh my gosh, my cat's crazy! My bedroom is in the loft, and ever since we moved here I've been worried that Gwyn might do something stupid and fall off... It's a long drop, and I thought for sure he'd be dead if he fell that far. So I'm sitting on my bed, petting him, and he sees a spider bouncing around on the wall and decides to catch it. Well, it went out away from the ledge, and Gwyn pounced on it! I couldn't believe it, but he got up and ran all the way back upstairs. He was a little bruised, but other than that, he's ok. I think I had a heart attack though...

Man, do I know how you feel! I just turned on the dryer with my 16 year old cat inside! I had left the door open after I took the clothes out and didn't think she had enough time to jump in.....It was warm and she liked that. Thank God I heard her. I sat and held her for awhile, but it did seem to bother me more than her......I got chest pains and she wanted a snack!

I got a golden retriever puppy this weekend! He's soooo cute! Haven't had a dog in a while, so my cats are going nuts! It's the funniest thing in the world to see these two huge fat cats getting chased by such a small puppy. ;D
I know exactly how you guys feel about your cats. One time, one of my cats, Tiger, fell down a whole story at my house and I had a heart attack. I thought for sure she was dead. When I got down there she was just laying there, so I got really freaked out. Then she sat up, kinda shook her head a bit, and dashed off into the kitchen to get something to eat. If I had fallen down as far as she did, I think I'd be a little more upset than she was, haha. Cats are funny creatures.

Yeah, if I'd falled instead of Gwyn, I'd have alot more than bruises to worry about. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with an aparently suicidal cat.
LOL Your puppy sounds like fun. Case the cat, chase the cat, bark at the cat, chase the cat. LOL

[glow=yellow,1,0000]They did a study years ago on cats that fall from great hieghts like from city building s and stuff. THey say cats that fall from higher stories are less likely to have injuries then cats who fall from lower stories. The higher the cat is the longer is has to prepair and cushion itself for the landing. [/glow]

Slow motion filn of cats jumping down or falling is fascinating, they twist around, even if they are on there backs when the fall starts, and they seem to be living schock absorbers.

[glow=limegreen,2,0000]You mean poor owners. LOL
If a piece of bread with penut butter always lands peanut butter side down, and a cat always lands on it's feet, what would happen to a cat with peanut butter on it's back?[/glow]
