That's awful! You never realize how tough it is until it hits someone you know. Very sorry, and prayers going out for her family.

Prayers going out to those in need. For those who see this. I would like to ask prayers for a family that has just lost their husband/father. He is now one with the force . I knew him because he was my doctor (he was a Naprapath) & a friend since 1980(he helped me a lot) & was a person who had one of the most positive dispostions that one could ask for. He could tell clean jokes that made everyone laugh. He was very intelligent & could tell all sorts of stories that were fun to listen to. He liked Star Wars & we talked about Star Wars a lot. In the last 2 years he suffered from skin cancer & to the best of my knowledge the last time I saw him, I went dressed in my Jedi costume so he could see me in it. He recently had a surgery & his wife was told that he could come home but just before that happened he had a problem breathing for some unknown reason & passed away within 12 hours. I'm asking prayers for his wife & family. To say they are a bit devasted by this is an understatement. I'm very saddened at losing a friend but he is now out of pain.

My family is stuck in a rut yet again. We may have to split up- this time it's looking more likely than ever. My dad just doesn't make enough at his job to support everyone and keep our housing. My sister is probably going to be leaving within a month. My brother and I are stuck. We've looked everywhere for jobs and have nothing- the only income I have is a sporadic babysitting job but it's just barely enough to cover my dog's expenses.
The nearest extended family we have is over in Arizona, and they're struggling too. The only two options I can see at this point are offering housekeeping/pet-sitting/etc in exchange for room and board, or going to the homeless shelter and sending my dog to live with a friend.
Please pray for my family. My parents are worried, stressed, and scared. The only thing I'm worried about is leaving my dog behind.

Kai, prayers going out to your friend and her family. So sad to hear. No more suffering and he is at peace. Jan-Qui, prayers going out to the wife and family. Why is it always cancer? Something I know all too well unfortunately (as some of you do as well I'm sure). Kara, I pray that you and your family hit a windfall and are able to live together. I pray that you and your brother find jobs soon. These are tough times we're in. The weird thing is how the rich/wealthy are not affected and do not seem to care about the downtrodden. Look at all the entertainment business (movies, music and sports); if it wasn't for us, they wouldn't be living the lifestyle they do. If it was me, I'd give money to those in need. Unfortunately I'm still out of work and will need to sell off the rest of my Jedi costume. We're struggling to pay the bills and my wife and I won't be able to exchange Christmas presents. I ask for prayers for me to find a career soon; its been 9 months already. Thank you!

My best friend broke her back. She fell down the stairs because she tripped on her husband's clothes that were strewn about since he was packing up because after 23 years of marraige he's moving out. I was maid of honor for this wedding. Prayers definitely needed. Life seems to be flipping her the b right now.

I would like to ask for prayers for my cousin, who is 40 yrs. old & his family. Just before Christmas he was not able to eat because everyone thought he had the flu. He couldn’t hold anything down & lost about 25 pounds. After he went to the doctor & had scans & tests made he was diagnosed with brain cancer. A tumor was removed a short while ago. He has suffered brain damage from the tumor. As my Cousin, mother told me, "he is not the Mark we know". He is terminal. He has been given the prognosis of surviving 1-3 yrs. Possibly 3-5 yrs with radiation treatments, which would cause him to have possible loss of memory & vision. Radiation treatment decision is still under advisement. Please pray for him & the family for strength to suffer through this ordeal. Thank you.

Prayers going out!
Could everyone please pray for my nephew? We just recent found out he has a very small tumor attached to his spinal cord and brain. They're pretty sure it's not cancer and they don't expect any problems removing it, but they did let us know the worst-case scenario- he could end up quadriplegic.
He's only four and because of the dumb court system they won't let me or my brother see him.

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts.
Joseph finally had his surgery today, and while they couldn't get all of the tumor because of how tightly it was attached to the spinal cord, most of the tumor is gone now. Joseph was showing good signs in recovery, twitching his eyelids and moving his feet. It's going to be a while before they know for sure if it was benign.
BTW, they found the tumor by doing an MRI to find out what was up with his pituitary gland. (he's still only as big as a two year old) Originally they were going to give him treatments to see if he'd grow, but now they're worried it would make the tumor grow back. That's on hold for now. In the meantime he's been diagnosed with dwarfism. So he may just stay small.

My father passed away today at the age of 83. He died at home and I was with him. It was very hard to watch. But he is with my Mom now and probably on the golf course or travelling to all the spots he always wanted to see
