Safe travels, Janqui. MTFBWY! A couple months back I had to petition for Financial Aid because I had a rotten GPA (thanks in part to flunking Math 4 times in a row). They said that unless I could show just cause for doing so badly (i.e, a death in the family, losing a job), I would be put in FA probation. I got my response today: Request denied. Just cause not shown. Translation: While my tuition for this semester was paid, I will not be getting my grant checks for this semester...which leaves my History book back on the shelf, spare change in my checking account, and the fate of my own dog in doubt- with exactly two and a half weeks before Finals. While I do have a job, it's temporary and very erractic; I didn't work at all two weeks in a row. I MAY be able to squeak by for a while, but when this job ends, so does my income...and being able to provide for my dog. BTW, the college said if I do well enough this smester, they'll take another look at it...for Spring.

Hope it's just a little sprain and not something worse! Ice is good to put on swollen anything right away, also. When I busted my finger, I got a baggie of ice on it ASAP and took two Advil. Swelling can cause problems if not in check. Then I called the doctor and had it looked at.
Sometimes sprains or fractures are worse than breaks. I fractured my finger and there's nothing that can be done, but it's fine. Had I broken it, it would be all fine and fixed now and I could get a ring over the knuckle. Oh well, no biggie.
I'm glad you can still take care of your dog! That used to worry me when Chelsea was still alive.............. I understand.

Urgent prayers needed for Sydney Brady, who I know through work. She worked for Ford and lives in MI. She has about a month left to live; she has ovarian cancer & will leave behind a 4-year old daughter and husband. I just heard she's past the treatment stage & is home on heavy duty painkillers. She's such a great woman and does not deserve this; she's only in her thirties.

Prayers going out to everyone. I would like to ask for prayers for a former member (Jaryk) whose father just passed away last night. I just found out & even though he is not a member anymore, I believe he could use as many prayers as possible to get him through this. He's now lost both of his parents. I think his mother passed away last March but can't remember if it was in 07 or 08. Thank you.

Greetings All, One of our members, my former Padawan Ereyne Izarra, who hasn't been on the boards for quite awhile because she had given birth to her new son in September & taking care of her mother who was suffering from liver cancer-- has just told me that this last Wednesday night her Mother passed away & has become 1 with the force. She was very close to her mother. She lost her father in 2000. Please pray for her, her husband & son. Thank you.

Thank you! Yeah, I'm sure they were but I feel so bad for the husband and daughter. Especially for the daughter who won't grow up to know her mother. I lost my father also to cancer when I was 11 and know what its like.

Im asking people to keep those who live in Roanne County Tennessee in your prayers. If you have not heard there was ash-laden sludge that spread through the county and many people have been left homeless because of this. I have family members up in ten mile and they have told me its a total mess. So please keep the entire county in your prayers. Harriman, TN is about 45 mins Southwest of Knoxville.

Prayers going out to everyone. We seem to be getting hammered. We just got a call that my Mom's oldest sister and her husband (my aunt and uncle) passed away from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning. They weren't close over the last few years, but were very close as young children. Pleasekeep my Mom, her other sisters, and their families in prayer.

Prayers going out to you Cara and your family. I just found out I'm losing my job the end of the month. My wife is still looking for work and nothing. We hope we can find something soon; otherwise we may have to move back to NY if we can longer afford to live here on our own
