You probably wouldn't have time to find out. The cat would kill you for putting peanut butter on it before it could be dropped from some random height.
One of my friends, his best friend used to drop cats out of windows from different angles to see what would happen. It was terrible! Poor cats. Luckily, they always landed on their paws.

The peanut butter thing works because the peanut butter is heavier than the bread.... I can tell you some real horror stories about the animals that I have rescued, but they are just that....horrible and I could not do that to anybody. But when you rescue animals you have to take the bad with the good.

Actually the film clips were on a special on PBS on Cats, don't think they were from great hts. I know what you mean about rescued cats, I've adopted a few in my time, and rescued a few as well. A few years back I was coming home from work and a bunch of very bratty boys had doused a kitten with lighter fluid, I stopped their fun and whaled the hell out of them, they were like I'm gonna get my parents, I said please do, I'll have them arrested for what you were going to do. A parent did approah me a couple of days later, I asked what her 9 year old was doing out at 11pm, unsupervised, and did he tell you what he and his buddies were up to, of course he hadn't, so I did, along with a piece of my mind. She was shocked.

Nova.....Cats and dogs love peanut butter. It does tend to stick to the roofs of their mouths though. I put a little on my finger and they lick it off. They also like cheese. Don't give them to much though. It tends to constipate them. It is also a good source of protein. It makes a good treat once in awhile.

She's totally a fan of licking but not eating plastic bags, of all kinds.

Saddness in my life again. My computer mouse Pricilla died about an hour ago. She has lived in her cage that sat on my computer desk for the past three years. She died peacefully in my hand. I took her out everyday and she would sit on my shoulder and crawl down and walk around on the keys of my computer, hence the title computer mouse...She lived well beyond her expected lifespan of 1 1/2 years without any worries......Her sister Padmae has now taken the coveted spot of computer mouse.....Pricilla shall be missed.....

Awww, Em! I am so sorry! Even when they live beyond their years, it's never easy to loose a pet. I had a gerbil for 5 years when I was little. And my little dog now is 14! ;D You wish they could live forever.

So true....I have a 16 year old cat and she is starting to slow down and it breaks my heart. I rescued her from torment and the last 15 years have been happy, but when I see them go, it just reinforces my mortality.....

I always lose it for awhile, I get very attached to my pets, mostly cats since I moved to NY, when I lived at home somebody was always bringing home some critter or other, there were always lots of animals, but no matter who brought them home, Mother and I ended up taking care of them. I do mean all sorts of things, from kittens to baby birds and horses. The last horse I had I rescued from a traveling rodeo.

Ermita, I feel so bad about your mosue dying.:-( They'er so cute. Humm, what woudl happen if you put peanut butter ona cat's backand dropped 'em off something? Wel, it if were my feline, she'd land on her feet, then proceed to lick off the peanut butter. Then give me a dirty look for puting it there in the first place.:-)
My friend's cat Teddy is a serious sweetie, he has the prettiest, most musical meow I'd heard. Once he caught a mouse.(he did NOT hurt it.),placed him near me and mewed at me. I didn't freak out, thanked Teddy for the mouse and gently picked up the creature, and set him loose outside. Humm guess the Force does work calming little critters down when they'er scared.:-) (It was an outdoor mouse that came inside.) My friend ahd another cat named SCooter. He was an amazing apricot long haired angora, only no pushed in nose. He had apricot coloring everywhere except, his "socks" in his paws, tail tip, muzzle, "mohawk" on the head and chest/belly. He had very expressive emerald green eyes. He was the runt of his litter, but turned out to be a big boned, long cat.(Not fat.) Coolest feline I knew.:-)

Hey there. I've got multiple cats at present. Does anyone have info on "pet" insurance? I've heard it exists. I have 4 cats all of the same age so, I'm wondering if I should get insurance for their "older" cat needs all at the same time.

Yes, A friend of mine has it for all her pets. I don't know how much it is a year, but she says it is worth it. You can ask about it at your Vet's office.

I've got a cat, Philip. If you have ever seen a weird cat, he is one. Philip: 1. Is afraid of the outdoors(and canaries). 2. Likes to chew on Venetian blinds(those metal ones!) 3. Likes potato chips. 4. Is klutzy(like falling off of windowsills and chairs). 5. Avoids his water dish like the plauge while drinking the scummy water in the hydroponic plants. Here's a pic:
