Why not just get a scratching post? With enough wear, cat's claws don't really need trimming.
Oh, Ellie was in fine form the other night. She was dashing from one end of the house to the other, batting one of her toys around, rolling omn the floor, stopping only to get a drink or give her fur an occasional lick. She scared my poor brother half to death when he was totally concentrated on this computer my aunt had given him, and Ellie lightly tapped his hand. No claws, just . He jumped about a foot in the air! Afterwards we laughed to think the cat had 'attacked' the mouse!

Didn't I tgell you guys already? Huh. Guess I didn't. Her name is Cinderella; Ellie for short. Caasi named her and I really didn't think she needs a Star Wars name. Maybe I'll be sneaky and start calling her Shmi.

Now I had a misha with bubba last night. My husband was packing some stuff up and went into the spare room to get something out of the cloaset when I hear the cat cry out in pain. I was on the couch and yelled out what he was doing and thought the cat was attacking the mirror. We have the duel sliding glass doors to the closet and bubb had gotten somehow his paw stuck up underneath it! Lee couldn't lift the door to loosen it and when we tried to tug him out or slid it over he naturally hissed and freaked. Here we were trying to help him and I was starting to panic. I was starting to think we were goign to have to put a 911 call in to get help. I didn't want him to loose his paw or end up in the ER vet clinic. Well after about another couple minutes with lee backing the dog out of the room as he was wanting to see what was goign on, bubba finially I guess got mad enough and pulled himself free... Poor thing.. I felt so bad.. I just hope he dosen't do that again.

Aww, poor Bubba! Once Mom wasn't watching where she was throwing some dishwater and some of it landed on poor Figaro's coat! (one of our cats from the past) It was irritating his skin so she had to give him a bath. The noises that came out of that bathroom are best not remembered, but Figaro was okay, and Mom wasn't too badly scratched.

Goodie.. I just figured out how much my dog sheds.. I think he was never brushed.. Bought a brush last night and my husband began to brush him. He was scared a t first, but then soon realised how good it felt to get b=rushed.. I think we got a whole paperbag full of fur and he's still got more comming off.

Lovely...watch, soon he'll be following around, begging to be brushed! And just wait until Summer rolls around!
Poor Ellie has to go back to the vet to get her stitches out today. Dad had one heck of a time trying to get her in the carrier. Mom had to hold the carrier open, and Dad had to grab Ellie by the scruff of the neck (like Mama cat does) to get her in. Boy, was she mad! All we could hear were a few plainitive 'Mrow's as he went out the door.

He was alright.. loved going to the store and being around all the people! The only thing that was funny was at the groomers.. He went right back with the girl but when they opened the door and he heard the sound of the bath and blowing sounds he froze.. and then layed flat downon his belly so the girl had to pick him up and take him in...
