Assiding from metting all sorts of people I get a kick at being goofy in my costumes. Dragon con last year myslef and a 501st trooper were bored so we patrolled one of the lines that people were in fro Serenity. Sense we both were in armor we messed with people.. and its so funny when they take it al in good clean fun. We walked up to Kevin Sorbo and aimed our blasters at him.. he loved it and had a run with it as well.. I just love going around and being able to strike up a convo with anyone and feel at home. It's amazing what you can do while wearing a mask! No kidding.. Half the stuff i've done in costume I would never do if people could see my face. People trust us too and I find that well... kinda intresting. I had some dad practically toss their infant into my arms so they could take a picture. Thankfyully the kid didn't spaz out like one of my friends had to hold. The whole time he's talking behind his mask trying to calm the kid down and mom and dad are trying to get him to smile for a picture..  The only downside is I have had women think Im a guy and try to hit on me..   I think one of my favorites was when I was still pregnent. I was in my 8th month and we had coast con here in town. I couldnt fit the jedi costume but i managed to fit the Bikerscout. So Im walking around and one of my girlfriends was there too and had to shout out that I was pregnent.. Thank god for a mask... I had to endure the calls of how the ewoks got ahold of me.... |

I don't know.. Someitmes con goers have very simple minds.. mix that with their brains being in the gutter.. So having to come up with something better can be a chore..lol |

My first thing every day at AdventureCon was to head for caffeine... either coffee or Diet Coke. If I don't have caffeine, I'm in danger of turning to the Dark Side.. LOL... yes... dark beans, light side me!
I'm going to an Anime con tomorrow.. chaperoning about 8 teenage boys. How I got into this, I can't trace, really. But they're all at my house for the weekend. I may put them in the backyard in a few tents, if the weather holds.
I'm dressing like a gypsy. Should be fun. ;D

OMG. My house has never been more completely trashed than it is right now. Never! And anyone who knows me (I'm your basic slob) knows that that says alot!  Emerita.... do you have a good smiley for exasperation? Actually, they're really good kids... but picture four 6ft 3 rowdy 17 year olds wrestling on my LR couch. And last night they tipped each other's tents over, and basically didn't sleep, so today they were a bit hyper and tired. The con was ok,fun, except I don't know alot about the anime characters, but there was a DBZ panel, and I got into that, and I bought some cool stuff in the dealer room. It's got me anxious to work on my costumes for D*C! |

I still go and do costumes and hang out with friends haven't seen in long while, plus pick out panels I want to do. Now though, as been a guest at last few cons, more signings, promoting and making sure do panels I like to be on. LOL
