J'aii-Gun is an artist too. She creates things called "drawlings" although I'm not sure what those are since I'm not an artist. Probably similar to "drawings" but with a lot more flair. A lot of her work is posted around here somewhere... I've seen them and her work is very good. ~ Koda

Sometimes I brose around the art shows, but don't do so a lot, because I'd want to take a third of what I see home, and never have the credits to do so.
I I think "drawlings" might be her word for doddles/sketches. Sorta what your hand does without the mind engaging.,shrug> I draw, somewhat of an artist.

This year I wanna find the Justice league and see if Katarn can join it. Then I'll try to sell the idea to LucasArts and DC Comics. ;D Hey c'mon... he's a telekinetic with a big gun and a laser-sword! It works!
~ Koda I'll put in a good word for you. ;D

Anyone ever stop and do some gaming? Hit the video/anime room or consuites?

Let me guess... "drawlings" are drawings to drool over....

I think she posted a link to them in the "Ogling Ewan McGregor" thread a couple weeks ago. I'd go look but I'm swamped at work and just passing by.

No, they're officially called "drawlings" now! ;D
At cons I like mostly to see old friends and meet new ones... and costuming! Recently, it's been our involvement with the TJA fan table, and panel. The dealer room is a definite must, and the art show. After that, other panels that I might be interested in, prop building, costuming, etc... I'm not too interested in autographs for myself, but if one of my kids wants to see a celebrity, then ok.

Oh, and no matter what the size of the Con, I take lots of photos. At D*C, I'll take hundreds. There's so many really good costumes.

I love to meet new people and drool over the amazing costumes. People can be so creative!
I spend a good deal of my time volunteering and getting involved in the 'behind the scenes'. This year's Dragon Con I am doing a lot with the Star Gate track for the first time (a little shift from Star Wars), so it will be interesting.

Hmmmm...what do I like to do at cons....Well, Celebration II was the first "real" con that I had ever been to of any significant size. I went with a friend who is primarily a collector, so much of our time was spent in the exhibitor hall and store. This has been the same at each con I've been to since. We also have enjoyed getting a few autographs and visiting several of the panel events.
However, after attending CII and CIII I was so completely inspired by all the wonderful people I met and the amazing world of costuming that I made up my mind to get into it myself. My costume at CIV was my first attempt. MAN WAS IT A BLAST!! Everyone in this group, and the others that I have now become associated with, are such great folks and I really enjoy "hanging-out" on the forums here with you all.
I hate that I cannot attend more events right now, but it's certainly on my agenda for the coming years. Running my company keeps me very busy, but my intention is to make the yearly events a must-do so that I can really enjoy hanging at the cons with all of you, more than simply buying merchandise. That is my convention "re-birth"! Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy collecting myself and will continue that, but my primary reason for attending the cons now is the excellent fellowship with all the great fans!

Well said! I've only been to one (so far!) -- AdventureCon -- but my favorite part, other than hanging out with a really good friend who's also a "geek" ;D, was meeting the TJA crew and talking to other costumers and other people interested in MY costume. Oh, and getting "snarled at" twice by Jeremy Bulloch/Boba Fett... That was fun, and now I have an autographed pic of the two of us.
