I agree with you Leda...the recycling company I have it very unclear too...I hate it I am a HUGE recycle freak!!! I seldom take bags at stores...I just put it in my pack or carry it out...and the cashiers always look at me like I'm a freak when I say I don't want a bag and I'm trying to conserve...

My grocery store asks "Is plastic OK?" I'm afraid to admit I always say "No!" loudly. Even after I ask for paper, they insist on wrapping stuff in plastic bags to put in the paper bags. How is that reducing our dependence on non-renewable resources? (scratches head)
Has anyone else noticed how many bags they try to give you at Target? At ours, they won't fill a bag, and sometimes I see them putting just one item into each bag. It's as if they want as much advertising as possible. I just repack and leave the extras there.
We have to bring cardboard and recycleable paper to central dumpsters in town, but they're at the grocery stores, so its pretty easy to just combine a trip. Its too bad that recycling is only available in certain areas. Hopefully, that will change over time.

We got cloth bags and the reuseable freezer bags.We do ask for paper because we have to have something to put the recycling in. I like Aldi's alot you get one of the boxes that's empty that the product comes in and use that as your bag. It's better than 10,000 plastic bags that the other stores pawn on off to you

I'm going to the recycle center tomorrow to get stickers for my trash bins, and to get a recycling calendar. Hopefully I can get it straight. The animals around here will wreak havoc if anything is left on the curb overnight or outside the house.

Woah... this thread got hijacked 12 posts ago! Anyways.. My resolution is to quit drinking. I hope to be healthier and to lose some weight. This was driven by my new costume project. I want to lose some inches around the middle. So far five days without beer. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a record for me... since about ten years ago. ~ Koda

But that's a tough thing to do... congrats on the five days! or more by this point... yes, I think I might lose my extra lbs too if I stopped having beer for dessert... and for lunch... dare I say breakfast? No... no beer before noon... thats my rule! So what if I sleep til 11:30....

I haven't drank in about 14 years really. I sometimes miss a cold beer on a hot day though...

10 days now... I'm re-discovering such wonderful flavors as Sprite&OrangeJuice, and PineappleGrapefruitJuice. I think I've had more fruit juice in the past week then in the past 10 years! Tomorrow will be the test, I'm going out for chicken wings with a couple buddies. One of them drinks... A LOT!!...and one of them doesn't drink. We'll see how that turns out. ;D ~ Koda

I want to go back to school and obtain my Nurse practitioner's liscenes. Mosdify my two MR lightsabers I have, and to not offended any members on this board with my posts.

Thats an admirable profession... my sis is an RN and I can truly say we need some good people in the hospitals! That is a job that will never go flat.
