Best Wishes!!!

On another topic, my two moles get removed May 14th... Karm's brithday as well as George Lucas' birthday

Nerf has his surgery on May 24th. That will give me something to think about other than not being at C4 or MARCON, LOL.

Actually now I HAVE to vent! I was supposed to get my other two larger moles removed on Monday, but I got a call (at work of all places) from the doctor's office. They have to re-schedule it because they cannot get confirmation from the stupid insurance company that it will be paid for! And they didn't want me to be repsonisbel for (in her words) a "$3000 bill".
Well, number one, when I talked to the doc about this before all the drama came up about my head, he said $350, not $3000! My other surgery and skin graft didn't even cost that much, so I think she's talking out of her butt!
#2, most doctors bill the insuarnce and then if they don't get payment they bill teh patient. What are they doing billing the insurance before the procedure takes place?
I said it befoe about this doc, but he is in it for the money, not for helping people. That's why he chose dermatology 'cause he knew it was a good way to get into the plastic surgery end, which is what he wants to focus on (boobs and butts). What ever happened to the hippocratic oath? Hypocrit, more likely
And I KNOW he doesn't do ALL plastic surgery cause I've seen other peolpe with skin problems in his office...
vent vent vent
ARGH
So he wants $325 up front as a "deposit" in case they don't pay. And my surgery has been rescheduled for May 30th -- hopefully. WHich is not even a week after Nerf's surgery and the day before I am supposed to go back to the cancer center formy check up.
Argh... its always something

I understand ... the hospital transposed 2 number in the diagnosis code last year after Danine's surgery. The insurance refused to pay for it ... July 3 it will be one year, we have been assessed over $6000 in charges and Tuesday we got a call from the hospital that it has been all taken care of. The correct code has been filed, the hospital has dropped the extra charges, the insurance will pay everything and the hospital will accept the insurance payment as payment in full ... we don't have to cough up the $1500 in co-pay.
I had no clue what happened to create this change ... yesterday I was dropping off Danine's new work restrictions to the lawyer ... I have not see him in two weeks, I had made an off hand comment I made to him about this surgery, that because of how the diagnosis was worded it was not covered by workers comp ... well he made once phone call, and now you know the rest of the story ... for one things went in our favor.
Keep your hope up ... I know you and Nerf will come through this OK.

Well, I finally had those other two moles removed... the one on my left leg below the knee and the huge one on my forehead above my right eye. Looks weird. They put a glue over the forehead one since they couldn't really bandage it and it looks funny. The leg is wrapped right now but tomorrow or the next day I should be able to go down to band-aids or a small gauze pad (which means adhesives -- a bad thing for me but I will watch it carefully). My eye may be swollen tomorrw, so I will have to watch out for that. Bad thing is Dr. Reeder said he would be very surprised if the one on my forehead was NOT cancerous, once he got a look at it. I've had it forever, but that doesn't mean it still couldn't be cancerous. Who knows, maybe that is how all this started. It used to be smaller and flatter, but it puffed out more later on (in college I think) so I'll be waitig to get the biopsy report back on that. Also he said to make sure to keep an eye on my head. I have a couple of little sores p tehre now and he warned me that if they stay there too long to make sure to get back in to see him. We don't want more problems there.
