I was reading though a thread and found a pic from Dragon*con 06 here. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a6/AdvancedJedistarfighter.jpg In the back ground is a Jedi and I though his robe and tunic were interesting colors. Does any one know 1) if theses are acceptable canon colors and 2) what color would I search for if they are and or how to make them.

Is your question about making Jedi garb with which you would gain membership to TJA? Our code on the main website specifies the costume requirements for TJA www.thejediassembly.com/jedicode.php?art=vHowever, I find that in any discussion of "canon", if there are 3 people there will be 4 opinions. Can you show us the photo to which you refer. I know I've looked at 100's of D*C photos. The link you posted goes to a starfighter image. If you like the costume and are not concerned about membership in a particular organization, make the costume that you like! Even if you need to make a costume that meets "regulation", make any others that you like. Most of us have "alternative" Jedi garb that is outside the regs for TJA. These are fun to wear at cons where "canon" isn't an issue.

Ok, yeah accedentaly linked to my avatar pic. Heres the one I ment to link to public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/dragoncon_2006/45.html It's the Jedi just to the left of Chewie. And I am a Member of TJA, just wanted to know if that would be a costume that would be wearable to the 'canon' only events.

Ha, that's my photo! You must be a very new member, as the designation under your screen name says message board, not "Jedi", which is what indicates full membership in TJA. edit Aha, I found you www.thejediassembly.com/members.php?id=b8de9 Xana needs to change your status. To the left? I had to look at my own high res version to notice that he's wearing a nonstandard, apparently black, undertunic. Personally, I'd say, no, it's not canon....unless there is some character in a book or comic book that is described or shown wearing such, only if the definition of canon being used includes those. Again, though, if canon means "seen on screen" than definitely not.

Heh, yes I am fairly new around here And I kind of figured it wouldn't be. Oh, well. Not that that's going to stop me from making something like it. ;D

Nope... and it shouldn't stop you! I have made lots of costumes... some acceptable for TJA and some not. All you need is one for membership. Welcome!

Right, as I said in my first post, if you like it, make it. You can wear it at cons and any non-canon event.

I do not believe he is a TJA member but I could be mistaken. He did have a cross-wrap style black undertunic (he wraps it right-over-left) and a mace-windu'ish taupe color outer tunic. Very nice costume if I remember correctly. ~ Vonnor

That's Matt (JediToren) in the Chewie costume, not in the Jedi costume we've been discussing.

Oops. Sorry. I wondered why we were discussing a Chewie costume. Man my head must be swelled still by pain killers

Status changed. Those colors look fine, unless the undertunic is black like Koda said. If you like it, make it.

Looking at my high res photo, the undertunic has a high, mandarin sort of color and is black. Sending seraphverum the "original" high res image.
Sorry, Carol...I imagine you're not quite processing since you're under the influence, as they say. Hope you feel better soon.

Wow, I go away for a day and there's a ton of new posts. If I did make something like that I wasn't going to use the black under tunic. I was thinking of using the same color for the under tunic as the robe. So tuape is the color that the tunic is? That will help my fabric search ;D
And thanks Xana.

Yep taupe. I personally like that color very much for an outer tunic and have been searching for some since I made the first tunic. Hard to find in the right weight/texture. ~ Koda
